With news of the new NI Z1 I was looking at online retailers and came across this at one of them

http://www.pssl.com/Computer-DJ/Nati...-DJ-Controller

Looks good.

I have not seen it announced anywhere so it looks like someone jumped the gun.

Of course it is. They do this every time NI release a product.
From what I have read on community s some retailers will take as many pre-orders as they can with the promise that you will be first in line when they know that the orders are WAY above their quota from NI.

I dunno, are these people taking money upfront? Surely not.
Don't believe I've ever made a 'pre-order'.

I should be clear, my assumption is about Thomanns shipping arrangements.

I know for fact that the X1 will not be in shops on Monday.

Yes thats possible but for most parts they have been very accurate about delivery dates. and usually 2-5 day means within a week of working days so could be next monday. but not getting it right now anyway want the Z1 too so few weeks before I can justify buying them.

Hello Thomas,

I’m writing you in regards to your recent request for notification when the Native Instruments Kontrol X1 MK2 DJ Controller became available in-stock for purchase. As it turns out, this item is so new that it is only available on a pre-order basis. This means that only those who place there order now will receive a unit from the first shipments expected in a couple of weeks. I would encourage you to strongly consider placing your order so that you will secure your place in line for receiving one of the first units.

Got this same email today. Replied asking if they expect it to be in stock before August 1st.

Of all the controllers I've use with Traktor, the Kontrol X1 had the tightest integration and zero problems.

I've never had drop outs or issues with my x1 but it does feel loose at the back compared to the locking usb port on my Audio 10

My x1's cable fits waaaay loose in the USB port, but never drops connection. I've replaced the USB port on my Hercules controller because of such and it didn't even seem that loose. What ports are they using that is so different. The batch that I ordered looked identical to the one I took out of the Hercules. Where are they getting their parts from, and how are they any different?

Just interested in your experience of the X1 port. Genuinely interested mate.
It is a fairly loose fit with my usb cables.

I don't believe those websites breached anything considering the X1 MK2 showed up on Native Instrument's website earlier this morning. That may be why they assumed it was ok to announce it. There was a whole gallery NI had posted up, but it seems to have been since taken down. I'm not sure why NI would post it up then backtrack like that. I snapped screen shots of em here
