With news of the new NI Z1 I was looking at online retailers and came across this at one of them

http://www.pssl.com/Computer-DJ/Nati...-DJ-Controller

Looks good.

I have not seen it announced anywhere so it looks like someone jumped the gun.

Is there any option to change bpm for example only for 0,01 BPM? I set range to 8%, but it's still change BPM around 0,1 :/

EDIT: I made it, mapped one knobs on K2 (upper right) to change device target when I push it (so I can choose deck A,B,C,D) then when I turn it it changes BPM by 0,01 so I can beatmatch tracks perfectly witch touch strip, knobs and cue point

It should light every button in a wave from bottom to top for a few seconds, but after that it should be as if it's off.

Very pleased with it.

I like analogue. It's a bigger more open sound I'm getting. I can even tell the difference on my iphone with it's crummy headphones compared to my S4 recorded mixes. You can be more creative with send/return FX. Traktor FX come across better that way.. Plus lovely filters on the 92

Am I the only one having serious issues with the precision/ responsiveness of the touchstrip?
It looses tracking of my finger all the time, less so if i try to make a larger contact area, tho still quite bad.. and in doing this any precision goes out the window..
Using needle drop is horribly jumpy even with the strip assigned to one deck.. help plz !

I'm using 2.6.3 and firmware 11 on a retina 15" mac

Is there a control to change the pitch on the X1 mk2? not a pitch bend, more like a pitch fader, like there is on the x1 when you press shift + in/out?

Been in contact with NI support ant they confirm it is a known bug and are working on it. It might be a computer specific bug if it's working for some and not others, I only have Mac computers.

I just played a gig last evening using only an Z1 and X1 MK2 and it worked perfect. I believe it was even better then using a S2 except if I wanted to scratch witch I almost never do.
If only I could make it work in midi mode so I could map it to Mixvibes Cross would be perfect. I can see the X1 could replace my DDJ SX for many of my gigs.

I don't have my X1 in front of me, but are you pressing both load buttons at the same time (while holding shift)?
Ashanti Andreacchio
06.09.2013
there is no option for switching to midi mode in X1MKII preference tab, I want to use it with Cross. And the manual says to press shift + load left and right to switch to midi mode for use with other software.

When doing this inside traktor it de/activates snap and quantize
Valery Ellick

Do you have midi mode activated in the controller settings?

Ok read the manual but I just can't get it into midi mode pressing Shift and load buttons nothing happens and it's driving me cracy

Change the type of controller to encoder then and set interaction to relative.

Since i saw the videos of the new Kontrol X1 i was considering buying one. Since i had one i can't tell otherwise then that i'm in love with the MK2! Such a powerfull unit. This and a mixer (with a build in or separate Soundcard) is all i need (perhaps a couple of X1MK2's).

If you mix 4 decks without timecode you could get a pair of cheap second hand Audio 2s and aggregate them.

Felix must have had a hub... Just wasn't shown.

If not using a djm with built in sc you'd need an audio 10 - check Richie Hawtin set up

Well a NI Audio 4, 6, or 10, really.

That provides the 2, or 3, or 4 stereo outputs to go into individual channels of any mixer, like you were plugging in turntables

Ok, went through all 32 pages and haven't found my answer:
Ever since I've seen the Felix vid I can't stop obsessing how awesome it would be to travel to places with only 2 X1's and a MacBook and just use the available mixer. The question is, what exactly do I need to run a basic mixer + 2 X1's set-up?

I have a hard time figuring out the answer, because I guess with a DJM900 with Midi-functionality a laptop with three USB ports will do. But my new MacBook Pro only has 2 with 2 firewire ports, so that's not gonna work without an USB-hub. And then there is that time where they have an off-brand mixer without midi, so what do I need then? Is an Traktor Audio 6 enough, or do I need the 10?

Am really trying to figure out if it is a doable and affordable set-up if I can sell my DDJ-T1...

[QUOTE=Dustin V;643563]Loving the mk2 so far!

The only thing I don't like is when I use the browse encoder to search my playlist, it automatically go's into full browse screen and minimizes the track decks. Then I have to press the browse encoder to switch it back to normal. Then when I move it again, it go's back again.. Grrrrrr.. It's a bit irritating, but I will see if I can deal with it somehow. Also is there a way to decrease the percentage increments for the tempo adjust encoder when you press and hold shift? I noticed that the increments are not very fine?

According to the Digital DJ Tips video the touch browse encoder knob can be changed not to switch to browse mode when touched in the Traktor settings.

Mine is being delivered today and I cannot wait to start using it.

If you go into the X1 settings (should be an extra tab down the side of the settings pane) there's an option to turn off the browser view on touching browse encoder.

Have a look back through this thread, I'm sure there were already suggestions on how to do this.
