Xone: K2 Thread
Xone: K2 Thread Posted on: 30.09.2011 by Romelia Stankard Wow this looks promissinghttp://www.allen-heath.com/uk/Produc...neK2&SubCatId= So if you link two together with the ethernet cable through USB, will it 'merge' the soundcard so you have a 4 channel soundcard? If it does then you could bring two to a gig, hook them together with ethernet and not need another audio interface and have a 4 channel soundcard. It kind of sucks they put one 1/8" on the front instead of having both outputs in the back. It makes it a little awkward if you wanted to run both outputs to separate channels on the mixer, now you have to run a cable to the front. Also remember you have the option to run each channel in traktor mono so you could use one of them as a 4 channel soundcard with a few adapters (like you would with an audio 2 or 4). Plus a lot of systems are mono anyway. I really like the idea of having one or two of these with a DB2 or DB4 for a home setup then just take them to your gig with a laptop and you have an audio interface to use already in your controller with the house mixer. I love the X1s but I might have to give them up for these, i would love to get my hands on one. | |

Is it going to be possible across 2 units similtaniously .. hmmmmmmmmm dying for someone to test it out. |

Rolanda Clodfelder 18.04.2012 | Nope didn't appear until 7, would have though the A&H boys would have written something along those lines considering its an ideal Ableton controller and not much use for it without some kind of grid scroll :-S |
Chasidy Heckenbach 18.04.2012 | probably need to be a supported controller to get the red box thing - tho that only needs a bit of python scripting afaik. i'm using live5 which i don't believe has that functionality at all |
Rolanda Clodfelder 18.04.2012 | Wondering the same thing - is there any kind of "red box" control and scrolling that can be done like on the APC ? |
Cammy Clegg 18.04.2012 | Anyone have any viideos of people using it with ableton? |

Need to do a video on it as well, otherwise it's hard to explain all the different controls that are mapped ;D Anything in particular you would like the map to include, let me know! Maybe it's helpful. If you need some mappings or tips please send me a comment on youtube, I'm usually quick to reply |
India Trebesch 16.04.2012 | Also, that button grid looks perfect to put a midifighter mapping on.... |
Lang Abriel 15.04.2012 | Do you have any control over the parameters in that mapping or just on/off for effects? |

Debora Wassink 15.04.2012 | Im woundering about getting one of these as a ultra low footprint setup. But as i am shit with mapping i`ve been holding back a little.. So I was wondering if anyone has made a mapping with basic transport controls, eq, volume faders (duh..) , and maybe some looping? |

Brant Briski 14.04.2012 | here are some new tsi's for the K2: AB + 2 FX for 1 K2 http://mixarchitekt.com/teknik/mix_a...one_k2_tsi.zip CABD + 4 FX for 2 K2's http://mixarchitekt.com/teknik/mix_a..._k2_x2_tsi.zip the 2 deck version is intended for users wanting to only run 2 decks and keep things super simple. the 4 deck version requires that 2 K2's be used otherwise the conventions used in the layout and led's would not work for a latching version. besides, having to switch layers all the time is no fun and only complicates things. that was my feeling from my db4 tsi and it's been much nicer to work with 2 k2's + db4... |
Lynetta Stanislav 13.04.2012 | Wish they would just come out and tell everyone who has ordered when they expect them to be redelivered now |

"K2s are already on sale in various countries including: USA, Romania, Netherlands, and Singapore amongst others.
Stocks have been arriving with our distributors, so K2 should be available from dealers shortly afterwards in the supply chain. Please note that in the UK, stock will be arriving later than planned in retail outlets as a result of the theft of the first large shipment to our UK distributor – we are endeavouring to replace the stock as quickly as possible. We appreciate all the messages from customers who are really excited about purchasing Xone:K2, and appreciate you waiting for stocks to arrive in various countries to meet the current demand for the product." |

Kiyoko Wellisch 11.04.2012 | Is it different from mapping other controllers somehow? |
Verona Candia 11.04.2012 | Am I a complete newb or is this thing freaking complicated to map? I read the Users guide 3 times in the past hour. |
Kiyoko Wellisch 11.04.2012 | Find it in the mapping window and change the value. Have to do it for each deck. Good luck finding it... Stupid mapping window. |
