I want to start a thread where everyone can see all the custom gear that has been created by other djs here at Dj Tech Tools. Post a few photos of your set up and a brief description of what you did.

Built a custom arcade 48 pushbutton controller. I used the U-Hid interface (www.u-hid.com), worked great. Also installed USB Hub inside and with panelmount usb connectors on either side and on the rear.
Working on newer, smaller controller specifically for Traktor Pro (4 Decks), with fewer Buttons, foot switch, and custom aluminum front Panel. Also made custom laptop stand from PVC pipe that sits around the pushbutton controller. Super Cheap and came out great.

I like the men pictograms on the arcade buttons
Why do you have just this few buttons and potis there on your controller, dont you need more control over traktor when using 4 decks ?

Inspired by the arcade mods on the VCI-100 I wanted to mod my reloop digital jockey.
After a lot of brainstorming and a couple of days work I now have a RDJ2 with arcade buttons.

There's not as much room for the buttons as in the VCI-100 so I had to build little housings on top.
I have to be little bit careful now not to touch the buttons accidentally, but that's really no problem once you get used to it.
It's great to have these fantastically responsive buttons now.

costs:
Sanwa buttons: €26 (incl. €10 shipping from arcadeshop.de)
Aluminium for housing: €13 at local metal shop
Spraypaint & primer: €20 at local paint shop

Further plans are four play state indicator LEDs in between the volume faders.

Please let me know if you're interested in photo's of the work in progress. I have made a couple of those.

Here's my version of the arcade mod. I had a machine shop make a plate for the bottom cut-outs, the paint is white and blue powder coat.[IMG][/IMG]

Yes, they are still touch sensitive. And, the outer area still responds to bend.

Basically, form the bottom up, it's a large dial (w/ tightening screw) that fits around the XP10 post, a metal plate, CDR, metal ring, cap inside, and 2 screws from the top, down to the dial. It's just a matter of finding the right dial and tooling it some.

seen your setup over the N.I. community s....nice....

say question for you, do you have any pics of the process of making the eks "cdr" part? are these still touch sensitive then?

I will post a mapping in next week bacause i'm still working on it. The response is great! I don't like so much the srgp and encoder, but the pot slider and button are perfect!
