I've been believeing the same way. I haven't seen a new good house/techno (longer faders, four channels) style mixer other than Pioneers DJM series which I'm not that fond of.

Actually scratch that Denon have some pretty good gear

I hope they release all the info tomorrow and not another video where they blur and cut. It was cool for a while but it can be a bit annoying waiting for info.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet (too lazy to go through the thread replies).

But I have a feeling that with the October release of the Behringer CMD range (inexpensive and modular), and all the talk here of a possible modular setup. Are NI feeling a little concerned?????

Or no mid, if it's a scratch mixer.

It's definitely not the width of a X1/F1...

From the picture we can tell that the colored pads are the same size as the ones on an F1, which are 1" I believe. The crossfader is almost definitely in the middle of the device, so assuming it's horizontally symmetrical from that point, I'd say the width is roughly 12".

The depth is actually the interesting part though:

The F1, X1 and S2 (The All but one of NI's controllers) share a common depth of 11." inches deep.
The S4 is the only exception, at 12.7" inches deep.

Still using the 1" pads as a judge, we can see the bottom ~7" of the device. If this controller follows the depth of the s4 (which is unlikely, as this would never be paired with one,) then there is ~5.7" inches we're not seeing. The mixer section of the S2, from the bass knob up is ~1.3" shorter than. Which they might hopefully be able to fix by squishing the knobs in tighter.

However if this controller follows the depth of the X1/F1 and the S2, which is FAR more likely, as it's obviously meant to go alongside an F1 at least, this means there is ~5.5" inches of the controller that we can't see. That's a full 3" shorter than the mixer section of the S2, there's no way they could pack in all four knobs.

So TL;DR: If the rest is an EQ section, it doesn't have a gain knob.

Some may remember me as 'the guy that posted about the cdj-2000 nexus a couple
O'months ago'.

Djleaks (that's me) is back with devastating news.
The new Traktor device is going to be a 2-channel analogue mixer with Traktor MIDI controls.

In-the-box is the Trakor Pro 2.5 software. This unit comes close to Pioneer's DJM-T1.

For more info and future releases please check out my blog:http://dj-leaks.blogspot.nl/

I hope they integrate some sort of lcd screen into it. it would be cool to play modular without a laptop or cdj's

That thing above the row of colored buttons is an encoder or knob.

It looks like it might potentially be an F1 next to it...but that row of colored buttons is throwing me off.

That's throwing me off as well. Maybe we'll be able to change that color in the future?

I have the same workflow. I wouldn't mind only have two faders, but I have to have four rows of EQ's because sometimes I'm adjusting EQ's for remix decks at the same time as track decks.

The more reasons for this and all in one mixers (no Jog or Pitch fader) the size of an F1/X1 or 2 and you have a modular setup just using NI put a Maschine in ther same size ( Someone sugested buildin USB hub now that would be nice). But I want 4 channels because I use 2 decks and 2 remix decks and want to control them individualy

In my opinion it looks like exactly the same 45mm faders which the S4/S2 contain...
Probably a bit more expensive than X1 and F1. Maybe pricewise in the middle between those and the S2 if it is a midi-controller only and not a complete stand-alone mixer as well (as I suppose it to be).

Hopefully it's a little better built then the s4/s2 and all the new audio cards except maybe the TA2. A lot of their new products have had some fairly big flaws, although I havent heard anything bad about the F1 (I also havent done much research on them either).

What I would like it to be it's like a 2-Deck-Mixer with ONE track deck and ONE remix deck, so the possibilties of controllerism and making routines would just grow up and for a normal price (I guess up to 600

How about an iOS version of Traktor....and a controller to handle it? Cue points, remix, two channel. iOS 6 is rumored to allow stereo output!

The T1 is an analog mixer built like a tank. This looks more like an S4 or S2 type controller just in mixer form so therefore not a direct competitor.

Oh can I make a prediction too?

It'll release with a new traktor version, with features that they'll only let you use if you buy this new controller "because they developed the hardware and software so closely." They'll then promise to make the new features midi mappable.... And never do it.

Second prediction: Everyone will fall for it.

Seems familiar....
