I would definitely sell my Ecler nuo 2 for this. I only bought it to have a mixer I could easily transport. If this is two channels with built in remix decks and it is analog with scratch built-in i'm sold. That is unless it's $1200... I'll fork over $700 or thereabouts.

We want something to mix the outcoming audio from traktor with and that has tight midi intigration. Not a full midi controller. If that makes sense

Just my take on this.
Uhh, actually, if NI are making the DSP, theres not going to be much of a difference between discrete mixing and internal mixing in Traktor, given that the designers and manufacturers are exactly the same. I highly doubt NI are going to waste a ton of money designing something they already have. Then again, theyre already wasting a ton of resources making this a fucking mixer for software, so I dunno...

I just like longer faders cause its smoother and easier to fade. I mean I've used the s2 and s4 faders and if they are anything like that I am disappointed. I just don't like those faders.

Just to clear up the confusion...

1. It IS an analog mixer that will accept turntables, CDJs, etc. just as an other analog mixer.

2. It IS a MIDI controller as well (Basically the NI version of the Rane 62)

3. It IS 4 channel in that it will run audio from all 4 decks in Traktor. Decks C & D are meant to be used as remix decks with F1s. Due to the fact that you have 4 channels within each remix deck, it makes sense to use F1s for those decks since there are 4 volume faders on the F1 itself. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to have 4 volume faders on the mixer itself.

4. It IS NOT a mixer that runs "standalone" a la Stanton SCS.4DJ. There is no Traktor software inside of the mixer and you cannot run Traktor without a computer. If there is no computer is connected, it will work just like any other analog DJ mixer.

I hope this helps to clear up the "Standalone" vs. "Standalone" debate.

im pretty excited about this now if it can be stand alone. If it needs to be hooked up to a computer then meh

It's a battle mixer so faders are meant for fast cutting...

What's the deal with people wanting long faders? Just fade up or down more slowly???

Four channel with longer faders please NI
Valeri Millstein

Seems really "meh" a four channel version would be great though. Even then, modular would be the way to go. I would love to see something like a Behringer MM1 with a sound card. I still just want a midi mixer to put in between my X1 and future F1.

Nope. The cue section is in the middle. Between the EQs and below the track scroll knob.

For sure. I'll be onto one of these to stick next to my S4 which doesn't do what I most like to do well - scratch and juggle.

The small cross fader won't be a problem because it will be set to cut and not fade anyway.

Craze has a history of posting controlled leaks, hints, clues or whatever you want to call it of NI products.

hip hop/top 40 DJ's are way more the majority in at least the US. These guys may never be DMC competitors, but they want emulate them as much as possible. I believe NI nailed it for that market.

I'm still not sure what market this is aimed at? If it's correct the option of button select for the other 2 channels (4 channel's) is a definite no no for me, always want a physical visual aid to volume levels. Is this aimed purely at the DMC style of mixing?
Again, at the moment without more information it's certainly 'not' on my wishlist.
More like Potatoes, Potatoes that do something completely different. Hot cues trigger hot cues, cue sends make the sound come out of the headphones. Unless that LCD looking thing above each fader is a tape-assisted switch...

I'm presuming they are the four buttons located on the left and right lower section of the mixer?

So basically it's a DMC style mixer with short throws and cue trigger's and rotary's for I presume the sample slots?

Plus erm, believe the NDA has been ripped apart here? In trouble someone??

Traktor is clearly doing something right if all the great DMC champs are all over their product. Craze, A-Trak, Shiftee, and Unkut. Those faders appear to be no different from the S4/S2, I'm sure Innofader will be all over nice upgrades almost immediately.

Wonder if we'll get some news soon, you'd figure this would be against NDA's to post this. According to his twitter he believes it'll replace his 909. Pretty sick if you ask me.

Faders def look very short to me. Plus god I really hate the gloss finish.

Saurus, how is it possible that EVERY post you make bashes NIs build quality? Mellow out bro.

My guess, December release. Christmas buying rules the economy. Considering if I want one of these. Very nice me believes.
