What's new!
If you are new to my FX Jogs mappings, you can go back through the old threads starting with this one and have a nice read. You can get an idea what you are getting into. If you want to start at the beginning, have at it. Please note: There are two different mappings in the download below. One is the "Builder" and only has one FX mode just as an example FX grouping, so those who are interested in mapping their own effects can have a go at the other 13 modes. The second version is the "FULL" version and is the one I'll continue to add effect groupings as I get suggestions from other users or come up with my own ideas. The FULL version 5.0 beta only has 6 effect modes at the moment. You can read up on them and a bit on what they can do in the documentation in the download. This first version is a BETA and is not ready for live performances. I have added some documentation in the download, but the section for mapping new effect groupings is missing and will be added for the gold version. I hope to have the gold running in a couple of weeks and I hope to spawn some creative juices for those effects wizards for some ideas on new and cool effects groupings. This mapping opens a whole new realm of FX jogs. Copyright and Usage Anyone can use this mapping free of charge for their own personal or professional use. It MAY NOT be uploaded to any other web site for download or passed on to third parties in its original or modified form without my authorization. Oh well posted a bug report in the proper community when the problem first came up, hopefully it'll be fixed sometime soon so I can enjoy your amazing mapping. |

Yeah, I sometimes don't know my right from my left and when I try to improv the speach (2nd half of the video), my mind flies and I then tend to sound like a retard. Lol! Self-criticism, the worst kind. I have some chores to do today, but still hope to get the "How to map my mapping" video done by the end of the day, so it can upload overevening (the fundamentals video took 8 hours to upload, crappy DSL). Then the final touches to the full version will be done on Thursday and released (more than likely without any video) on Friday or Saturday, depending on if I find any more bugs. | Rey Holubar 30.07.2012 | Yeah well. Maybe I'll just release the full version (which isn't quite finished yet) without a video at first to save time. I want to get the "fundamentals" and "mapping my mapping" videos done, before I release the full version, because I truly believe the builder mapping and learning to map your own effect modes is going to be much more satisfying in the end, than my full mapping will be. People should learn to map their own effects modes/ groupings. As for the double press to get the effect mode initialized, I also noticed this when I first started using my MBP and Traktor 2.5.0. I am not sure if it is a compatibility issue between Win and Mac or the 2.5.0 version of Traktor, but I am happy to say, this is gone now and to be honest, I don't know why it is gone, if it was upgrading to 2.5.1 or using my MBP to save the mapping, who knows. Good thing is, it isn't there anymore. scamo |

| Rey Holubar 29.07.2012 | Hey everyone. Small disappointing update. My plans are only about 25% at where I wanted them at this point. Good news is, I am on vacation and am still working on the videos and mappings.This video stuff, as a beginner, is quite time consuming. I am getting better at it, I believe, but still, time consuming. If all goes well, (and I don't get disturbed) then the first and longest video with the mapping fundamentals and the builder mapping will be released today. scamo |

| Rey Holubar 26.07.2012 | Hmmm..., if you turn on the effect banks for decks C and D, then yes, the FX jogs will work. But that is a manual clicky thingy with the mouse or mouse pad to get the FX jogs to work on those decks. If you switch to deck C or D and press the load button on the S4, it doesn't turn on the FX jogs on, it loads a song. In order to get around this, with the new version you can switch the FX jogs to each deck with each gain encoder. Also, I've improved the take-over of the effect banks, so my mapping should work better with other controllers. Before, the mapping was only turning banks on and if a banks was already on, it stayed on, which could cause issues. Now, the mapping also turns the unused effects banks off. You'll see soon. scamo |

The builder mapping will be released today or tomorrow on the maps site with a "fundamentals" video. Then I will release a "How to Map my Mapping" video here in the community
, because I truly believe it is better, when people learn to map themselves, as this opens up there ability to be much more creative. Then, I will be finishing up the Full version and releasing an explanation video of all the effects modes. I don't believe I'll have all 14 done, but there will be some new stuff and the mapping will be more flexible as you can now use it with decks C and D (and having a lot of fun with the Mix Decks. That is also one of my biggest problems. When I start using the mapping, I get carried away with it, because I believe it is so fun and forget to continue actually mapping.) So that is the plan. FYI, my new mapping will have controls for Decks C and D. Each gain knob controls the effect modes for each channel now. Since NI's programming of the S4 in Traktor doesn't let you use FX Jogs with the Mix Decks (you can only scratch the Mix Decks with the jogs), I've made my mapping work around this. Also, I believe I understand what you want now. You want to change effect modes in my mapping, with a press of an MF button, right? Unfortunately, the mapping system doesn't work like that. Each controller has its own mapping and modifiers and thus, you can't get the one to control the other (at least not the modifiers). Did I understand you correctly? scamo |

| Rey Holubar 21.07.2012 | Yes, for everyone. This mapping was made with Traktor 2.1.3. If you have an older version of Traktor, the mapping won't work right. This also goes for my upcoming releases by the end of next week. I am now running an MBP with Traktor 2.5 and you'll need Traktor 2.5 to run my next versions of the mappings. Sorry, if there are those of you who aren't upgrading yet to 2.5, but I really don't have the time to make mappings backwards compatible. scamo |

| Idella Hartleroad 12.07.2012 | I am trying to load a mapping in the controller manager settings but every time I load it up (even loaded twice to see if there was a different result) it will revert to the default Traktor 4 mapping. I can't find anything that sets it to default or change the default. I have tried deleting all other mappings but it will just recreate the default in some cases and in others just not assign anything at all. All the help is appreciated, Thanks. |
