2 Deck Launchpad w/ 8 Cues+Loop+Instant Gratification FX

I am getting a crashing issue to with this mapping on my launchpad. Everything works fine for the first 10/15 mins then my entire laptop crashes, sound goes all jittery and then the whole thing locks ups and i have to hold the power button down on my laptop to shut it down as mouse etc wont move or work.

I believe its a usb/midi issue and that my laptop cannot handle the amount of information being sent to and from the LP to refesh lights etc. its so annyoing as its a fantastic mapping which I really want to bring into my set up.

My laptop is a couple of years old but i can run the LP no problem in ableton suite 8 with led's etc with no problem at all. I have also been running traktor pro 1 for ages on it (no LP use though) to dj and do a radio show on so it can handle most things.

any one have any idea's how i might be able to overcome this issue?

set up is:

Traktor Pro 2
Numark OmniControl with in-built soundcard
Launchpad with Jwill Launchpad Fighter mapping

I believe you've just convinced me to buy a launchpad
This mapping looks amazing, I just started DJing a few weeks ago and I only have a Hercules RMX, for the price it's decent, but it sucks for Cue Points and Effects control!

I believe my perfect setup would be a Launchpad with a mapping similar to your's, a Midi fighter "Pro" and an external sound card to use a dedicated mixer!

Plenty of buttons for Cue, Samples, Loop, and plenty of control over effects with the Instant Gratification on the Launchpad and "super faders" on the upcoming midifighters.

I was using 32 bit Windows seven ultimate, and have the issue.
Thats a good new, gonna try 64 bit

From what I've narrowed it down to, it seems to be a 32 bit issue. Reinstalled Windows 7 using 64 bit. I've a Ultimate license and did have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and was getting the issues. Reinstalled, installing 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium and works faultlessly now.

Therefore, it's either that Ultimate is bloated and takes up some of the resource whereas Home Premium doesn't, or it's related to 32 bit not being able to handle it and 64 bit runs it fine.

Either way, I have it all working fine now

Yeah, I've noticed! OSX on my custom PC runs it all perfectly, but Windows refuses to play along!

Going to reinstall Windows over the weekend, using the 64 bit version this time at it was on 32 bit version. Hopefully this might help resolve any of the hidden issues preventing Traktor and my Launchpad from working together.

Just tried the newer version and same problem. Crashed Traktor and entire laptop as soon as they're imported and Launchpad chosen as in/out.

Trying a different one now to see if same happens.

EDIT: Tried a couple of different ones and they made my system crash too. So, seems like a hardware issue. What a pain in the backside! Back to square one now of trying to find the issue. Any ideas/anyone else had similar????

did you try just the ones in the package? Im headed over now to remove that link.

Cheers for the update, will check it out... Just something I noticed from using it since the beginning which was that basically you can only control one deck at a time, would it be possible to say do a beatmasher on one deck while a delay on the other, right now you can only mess around with one deck at a time... If so, that would be crazy, dope mapping still!

i edited your mapping, now no more tree selct or up and down but copy to sample and sample play and stop, with shift you delete the sample.
in the right i added cue monitor instead of load, and i add led for every button even if not pressed, so, everything is bright in the dark and if you press a button it changes color or its more bright.

ah, i correct the bug of the low kill of deck a turning off when using beatslicer, there was an error of the output note, under effect unit 2, beatmasher value 0.6 (the first button of the beatmasher deck a), the output note was g#2, but the correct one is g#1, if you correct this in your tsi everything is correct, hope it helps
