2 Deck Launchpad w/ 8 Cues+Loop+Instant Gratification FX Posted on: 15.03.2011 by Wenona Murro Thanks to many contributors of DJTT community
s (Str8upDrew, l0rdr0ck, alex8337 and others) I was finally able to get my launchpad fully mapped and ready for combat! Since I am fairly new to midi mapping this took me about a week to finalize, so I decided I would share with other members. Here is a layout of the mapping I have put together. The beatphase LED was just for fun but I decided to leave it, sort responds like KIT's lights from Kevening
Rider but to the beat. The mapping has complete and colorful LED feedback response. This mapping is for Traktor Pro and does not use Automap.Hope this mapping will be of use to some of you other DJs. | Valda Jostes 22.04.2011 | thanx for ur help buddy, played on traktor all day ya let me know about ableton, do u believe that if i manually went into controller manager and basically killed ur tsi and turned on in ableton the launchpad would comply with ableton and vice versa. It seems to me that midi fighting is a lot more complicated than picking up a guitar thus this does not discourage me just wants me to learn more. |
| Wenona Murro 22.04.2011 | Happy you got it sorted out. You can map it to do anything you want, just use my mapping to help you get a better understanding of it. Move things around to your liking just save export as a different name so you can still reference the original. As far as abeltpn integration, I'm looking into that as well. There are great posts in this community that will help you get started. |

| Wenona Murro 22.04.2011 | Sounds like your omni is sending the same MIDI notes as the launch pad. The easiest solution is to change the notes on your omni if possible |
| Valda Jostes 22.04.2011 | Ya dude your tsi works perfectly alone with my Launchpad, some of the stuff i dont really need like all the kills as they are present in the omni control, love all the hot cues as i cannot on the omni alone but if i hit lets say a hot cue on the launchpad one of the mid, high, low kills on my omni will engage, I have a PC Sony Vaio i7 8g, I just upgraded to Traktor pro 2 |

Also i know asking alot now but i need all this to co exist with ableton and traktor running dont know if this could ever happen just want someone to steer me in the right direction |

| Wenona Murro 19.04.2011 | I believe your problem may lie in another controller. Sometimes when I use the same FX section with another device (X1) I have to trigger the launchpad twice. Make sure your fx are in the same order as the following list aswell. This ONLY works with Traktor Pro 2 though. You will still need a third party app for Traktor Pro 1.27. But why would you be using that..? As far as my hybrid mapping, I haven't had a chance to finish it, I've been on a mad production spree and also recording vox for my new band. Programming has taken a back seat to my writing. Hopefully before this summer I'll have a final version done and uploaded. For now, my customized mapping gets the job done. Initially most of the LED's are of though, like the EQ kills and I have to press them twice to first turn the lights on and then turn the kill back off because by pressing it the first time it was killed lol, but I guess I should just press all those buttons and turn them on before starting to use it right, or am I doing something wrong? |

I accedentally installed the MidiYokeSetup before register.reg , i thought it might not matter, i may be wrong because when i go to the next step it does not have "midi Yoke 1" as a dropdown. Again thank you for this, i cant wait to use it!! would removing register.reg then starting over work? if so, could you tell me how to do this? |

Everything else works like charm. would it be possible to make this same mapping but replace the instant gratification with the deckalized midi fighter mapping? |
| Susannah Cordner 06.04.2011 | He just stated right above. They are for switching which deck you control. In this mapping for the launchpad, they ARE NOT NEEDED as this is for 2 decks and they are automatic. They DO NOT control any effects and thus were scrapped for LED feedback and sample decks. Also, there is no longer the need for a 3rd party midi keyboard application with Traktor Pro 2. Just make the input and output the luanchpad. My next hybrid is almost ready, for the ability to switch the whole set up to decks C and D as I have been annoyed that I can't effect my sample decks. I only ran into the problem when my friend and I were battling eachother the other evening . |
