I'm hoping for better screens and scrolling waveforms. What else could they add? http://excessiverecordsdjshop.blogspot.com/

do you have your ENTIRE LIBRARY analyzed and exported through RB? is there ANY other File on that external? not even a Serato Backup file... that will slow it down from what i've experienced and sometimes my buddies 850 won't even read a huge external if there are other files on it.
when connected to a laptop via ethernet that laptop is doing ALL of the leg work in searching and indexing. It simply feeds the loaded track and associated saved info aka cue's and what not to the CDJ's ram until it dumps it for the next loaded track.
It's really basic stuff in the end. for now the search with a large library is useless because even if you do finish the search and load the track, if yu want a different version of the track, the deck is frozen from scrolling for like 10 seconds then you have to wait to load again. I am sure you guys have not tested all this with libraries of that size yet, these decks were built for club guys obviously bringing minimal tracks with them to get through a evening , For mobile guys who carry every track known to man, they are sloooooow |

Nila Ragonese 27.06.2012 | false 2. not possible. the read/write speed of the usb libraries is limited to the speed of the USB. If they switched to USB 3.0 then it will be significantly faster and navigating massive libraries would be much faser. |
Alfredo Tooher 27.06.2012 | honestly all 4 of them are do-able via a fw update, but I guess they need some reason to buy a MK2 version, lol |
Nila Ragonese 27.06.2012 | I would like to see 1. Auto load of hot starts, can't believe i have to "call up" hot starts on every track I load 2. A faster search engine for large usb libraries 3. Possibly a way to incorporate a keyboard to search or iPad connectivity like the new Denon 3900 has 4. a way to have a loop active when it reaches the loop you have saved (like you can do in serato) None of this makes me regret the 2000 purchase I have now for the last 3 years and even if all those features were added I am not sure I would buy another set BUT I did get the first set so cheap that at this point even if I sold them I would probably still make some money off them to put towards a new pair
3. would be great and they should be able to implement this via firmware if rekordbox gets this feature. |

What revolutionary feature do you believe is going to come out that will make you feel the need to buy another pair of decks for 2 grand each?

Nila Ragonese 27.06.2012 | This thread is really crazy. What revolutionary feature do you believe is going to come out that will make you feel the need to buy another pair of decks for 2 grand each? Are you expecting some insanely awesome feature? The only thing that's changed since the invention of hot cues has been library management. Yeah you get slip which was pretty awesome but really looping and everything else has always been here. So it got quantized, most people using CDJ's on a regular basis can make perfect loops anyways. It's just mind blowing to me that you guys are so eager for something that will likely not be anything insane. Let's say they add sync and better waveform displays. Big woop. Buy a controller and have a nice day. We're all just a bunch of button pushers anyways... |
Hyman Werness 27.06.2012 |
i believe that is wishful believeing on your part! i also heard that they had been put back to the end of the year via a mate who has contact with pioneer uk[/QUOT so it's not just a rumor then... it will happen within 6 months from what your buddy says??? |

Hyman Werness 26.06.2012 | also if you look at the GC website MOST stores have them readily in stock... odd because they have been usually special order, except for Big City stores... looks like they are trying to get rid of them pretty quick. |

Alfredo Tooher 21.06.2012 | pioneers been so quiet lately, driving me crazy!!! |
Nila Ragonese 21.06.2012 | 200 instant rebate can be just to have the dealers buying more pioneer and not buying into denon right now. I'm sure they have margin to spare. |
Lacey Volkert 21.06.2012 | They will come out soon. Dealers are getting $200 instant rebates on CDJs2000 |

Alfredo Tooher 13.06.2012 | or he has a white limited one and believes it is brand new |
Venetta Cawyer 12.06.2012 | Or he's just unfamiliar with the CDJ2000 game and still believes they're new? I get big names in the venue not knowing how to plug a Rekordbox USB stick into the CDJ, let alone navigate it.. Believe you me when I tell you that there are still "fresh and green" people in this industry. |
Kasi Marget 12.06.2012 | To everyone who believes it's not going to be released soon : https://twitter.com/#!/pioneeruk Check the tweet from Rob Roar, posted on April 24th. I mean, there HAS to be some new CDJ 2k soon to be revealed/released. |
Cristine Stele 12.06.2012 | I would love to see a pioneer controller which was literally a jogwheel, pitch fader and play/cue butttons. You get the feel and look of a cdj with the price and flexibility of a midi controller. Good stepping stone towards "proper" cdj's as well for the beginners. I would want the buttons to be the same as on a cdj though, and the light in the centre of the jogs |

Dorie Scelzo 12.06.2012 | Damn. If the Ergo is $500 what is a $200 controller going to be? A monstrosity of a hercules clone made out of bubble gum and string? |
Nila Ragonese 12.06.2012 | again i guarantee you see cheaper controllers. Ergo is 500 USD. Far from the bottom. Internal harddrive isn't the best route in my opinion. it's a lot harder to plug your cdj into a computer than it is a usb stick. Changing to usb 3.0 would be cool though. extra fast loading/browsing plus this adds unneeded costs. Agreed, can't see them adding sync just yet. Touch screen maybe but ehh only if it's done cool and ties in heavy with the effects. Scrolling wave would be nice. |

Nila Ragonese 12.06.2012 | Mark my words they get into the low end controller market... Agreed nothing to do with the thread i just kept getting emails of people eager for something. I don't believe you'll see an updated CDJ-2000 for another year minimum unless they come up with some new revolutionary function aka when hot cues came out on the cdj-1000's and they sold more of those than anything else ever made before or since then in the dj world. An update 2000 with nothing special isn't going to see a mass appeal so they aren't going to make it until that update comes unless it's like an mk2 with minor updates at the same price point. |
Hyman Werness 12.06.2012 | I don't believe Pioneer is looking to get into the low end controller market... they don't have to. plus my man this has nothing to do with the thread. WE want info on their top of the line cdj's |
Nila Ragonese 12.06.2012 | Price point mate... What i'm saying is expect to see a 200-300 USD/EUR controller from them soon. They are sick of watching Numark sell a shit ton of mixtrack pros and are going to come in and try and take that away. Majority of controller sales are in the lower price points if you ask the retailers. More expensive once don't sell even close to as well as the cheap models. |
Hyman Werness 12.06.2012 | they are already low end controllers have you not touched them!!! |
Nila Ragonese 12.06.2012 | Look for some lower end controllers from Pioneer in the next 6 months |
Alfredo Tooher 12.06.2012 | its soooooo quiet in the Pioneer world right now, very weird. Only thing recently was the effects unit, but as far as everything else, nothing, no updates, software versions, hardware, etc... |
Hyman Werness 12.06.2012 | i thought we would have heard something by the release of Traktor 2.5 or the opening of Ibiza, but nope... looks like it's still far off at least for now... |
