Johnetta Olewine 02.05.2012 | I've read they will provide high quality BJs in a special BJ/Tossed Salad mode that is unlockable via a firmware upgrade. |
Lacey Volkert 02.05.2012 | ive read that new CDJs will have the same touch screen as new Gemini players have |
Hyman Werness 02.05.2012 | Im just gonna grab a pair of 850-k's to jold me over till the new ones come out... they seem to hold their value enough to not make a big difference if i lose a few bucks. |
Makkins Clifton 02.05.2012 | They take their time which is a good thing. Especially since my gear stays top-notch a little longer :P |
Johnetta Olewine 02.05.2012 | lol |
Romelia Stankard 02.05.2012 | Well it's May already... |

Tova Duignan 26.04.2012 | Imo if the new cdjs come out (mk2s) that should be around may and if not that in the first days of june to get ahead of all the clubs buying gear for the summer season, if they choose not to they would lose a lot of money therefore limiting the release window to next month. |

Palma Hanslip 26.04.2012 | Getting quite excited about this as i have money burning a hole in my pocket.. |
Amira Gotcher 26.04.2012 | I don't believe the new CDJ is very far away now. Pioneer UK retweeted a DJ thanking Pioneer for demonstrating the New CDJ2000 and New FX unit to him this week. http://twitter.com/#!/pioneeruk |

Alfredo Tooher 12.04.2012 | thank you, yeah, a lot of people like the upfaders, I have had rotary for 25 years now, started with Bozak, Urei, then Rane 2016, DJM800 and now 900, I just like the smoothness of the rotary and could never get used to upfaders, it's all personal preference of course |
Hyman Werness 12.04.2012 | i like the LED mods, but i prefer normal faders to rotary. |

Alfredo Tooher 12.04.2012 | you haven't seen my LED mods on my cdj2000's and DJM900? I even got the rotary kit into the DJM900 fullphoto.jpgphoto 1.jpglatestcoffin copy.jpgphoto-1.jpg the mixer is maxed out on purpose in the first pic, Im redlining it to purposely heat it up to make sure I had enough airflow under it |

Alla Bluemke 12.04.2012 | i love them to death. But I only have had them for about 2 months and now nexuses maybe coming out!!! oh well I'm pretty content with them still. Now what I need is a mixer to go with it. looking into a 900 or 2000 |

Could be anytime within the next month I'd say. Darn the anticipation!!! |
Alfredo Tooher 10.04.2012 | no it's not, I guess you are either not understanding what I am talking about or you haven't tried this yourself. My library is very organized and broken down into playlists, but if you want to search on the 2000's, it will search "ALL" for a track you believe you may have then it looks at ALL your files, same way as if you hit CTRL+F in serato, it will search ALL your files |

I grabbed a 3900 from a local dealer to play with, Not impressed with their implementation of the iPad, the concept is cool but if you are a mobile dj and have a lot of tracks, the apps and the players are VERY slow unfortunately. The decks still work great as serato controllers, definitely not enough to make me dump my cdj2000's, i won't miss the 3900 when i bring it back this week being that again, its just another serato/traktor controller IMO |
Ok Moroski 09.04.2012 | Um... Why they didn't just have the iPad plug into the deck via USB and have a link cable between the two players, eliminating the need for all of the network BS is beyond me. I assume it's a limitation of the software or the iPad, but that's got to be the most cumbersome way to set things up I could believe of. |

Nancey Inderlied 04.04.2012 | I'm just not really sure why though, I mean, you have the track, artist, album, etc, name index alphabetically arraigned, is there really any reason you need more than that? It just doesn't make much sense to me. I'm also not convinced that an iPad app accessing what is essentially a NAS hosted through a media player would be able to search and index any better than a natively connected player. |
Alfredo Tooher 04.04.2012 | it's definitely not just you, i would believe most club dj's look at it in your point of view, but in the mobile dj world, searching is an every event concept along with carrying a lot of tracks. If I only did club gigs I wouldn't worry about that either, you know your sets pretty much, you're not asked for too many requests or to drop a track next by the client, etc..... its a totally different ball game and, I understand text strings are hard to work with but the Denon 3700 was able to search and drop tracks instantly when i used them on release years ago, no delay at all and no locking up, I sold them for other reasons because I like the Pioneer feel/reliability better so it's kinda irrelevant, but the point is, the search on a database that size is possible to do it quickly and not freeze a deck up |
Nancey Inderlied 04.04.2012 | Right, because text strings are hard to work with, and playing in a club with enough tracks to overload the browser is totally a realistic situation. I've never really understood the point of keyboard searching to begin with, but maybe that's just me. |
Alfredo Tooher 04.04.2012 | its not that the setup is more or less a pain, its the fact of leaving the expensive laptop home Have you tried searching on the 2000's with an external drive consisting of 20,000 plus tracks on it? Do that and then get back to me on how well that worked out for ya, LOL, it pretty much freezes up the decks, E-errors pop up and you're shit out of luck |
Nancey Inderlied 04.04.2012 | The CDJs already do all of the browsing and searching things you need, on screen, because they have more than 2 cramped lines of display, with the added benefit of not having to use an iPad, or a LAN switch, let alone a wireless router. Besides, I can't imagine pulling out a laptop and plugging it in an Ethernet cord is more of a pain than connecting to a wireless network on an app. |
