Bob Padia 30.11.2011	So this is where everyone went off too! I was on DJF for 5 years and didn't post a whole lot in 2011 as the site was always down. I was flipping around the "show us your set up" thread on DJTechTools and saw familiar names.

Eulah Klemz 30.11.2011	facebook is a free site. no type of VIP or anything. it was started as just a college student community for select colleges. it didnt have any sale ads or anything for like the first 7 years. I have never heard of facebook going down. not for regular maintenance. not unexpected failure. no excuses. no down time. it became huge. DJF was down almost every hour for at least a few minutes. no great surprise it failed

Osvaldo Newhall 01.12.2011	Even if DJF resurrects, it will have a hard time earning its members again because many have been very disappointed with it losing its database. Its reputation may be remembered as the community that always went down. I miss DJF but I am pissed that all my contributions just went from helpful to nothing now. The administrators should have been prepared since the glitches on their server happened from the beginning. They should have done something about it. People's trust are hard to gain once you lose them.

Nobody wants their community investigated by law enforcement, and that's one of the ways that it can happen. I thought the trolling of the setup thread was actually kinda funny. Part of it was the ridiculous amounts of gear he owned at various points as a relative beginner

Always gear whoring and basically trolling the whole thread, people stopped posting in it due to it. But as i'v said at the start of this thread, i'll stick up for you if you went back onto DJF but one step outta line and i'd be on your back like everyone else. Sure i only had 800 posts and 5 star rep but every little counts when trying to win people back i suppose.
