Ferdinand Zubieta 23.11.2011 | Im a boss around here. dont ask for stuff, i'll deny it. just a heads up. now get out. |
Osvaldo Newhall 22.11.2011 | So whatever happened to our request threads? Vinyl + CDJ thread and DJ gear modification thread. Does it really take that long for the bosses, admins and mods to decide and put these matters into consideration? |

Stickies were brought up and using FB but they must be stressed out or something.... |

Even if it was from 6 months ago or whatever, it's better than having to start fresh. Oh well. Maybe it will work out for the best as it means they can use the latest version of the community software and give it a fresh new look. |
Ladonna Schlender 20.11.2011 | This has been posted by D.j. Forns on one of DJF's Facebook pages today... "welp.. found out more from the host this evening. We have also found out why they have been stalling. They have crossed paper work and it looks as if both our primary and secondary servers were decommissioned. At this point it is looking that our only option is to start fresh elsewhere. I am pretty much at a loss right now and feel as if one of my friends has died with this. Not sure what else more I can say at the moment, other than we will be back in some form as soon as we can...." Anyone know who D.j. Forns is? |
Lina Rawie 20.11.2011 | Have any of the admins or mods from DJ Forums said what's going on yet? |

Tari Jeangilles 18.11.2011 | If that's what it takes to make the DJTT to run smooth then yes 10 more mods! |
Latoria Kavulich 18.11.2011 | and 10 more mods |
Tari Jeangilles 18.11.2011 | And maybe old Serato threads in the General Subcommunity
can be moved to Serato subcommunity
, would prob prevent duplicate threads on the same topic while making that Serato category more interesting with more material? I would suggest the same for any new Subcommunity s that may be created. |
Latoria Kavulich 18.11.2011 | Any area that is not covered currently can be discussed in the General Forum. Most likely the traditional djing section will be added soon but i doubt the other suggestions will tbh. If a particular thread gets enough interest, we will certainly consider giving that its own community
. Take for example the serato community . DJTT is definitely more slanted toward the traktor side of things, but we got a lot of serato related posts in the general section. Thanks to Jesc we now have a dedicated serato community , and one less area i have to mod as thats jess's domain |
Romelia Stankard 18.11.2011 | +1 I'm all for diversifying this community , I feel like the current subcommunity s tend to focus too much on a certain type of stereotypical controller DJ and it attracts mostly that type of person to join and things can get myopic in here, I believe this place has grown enough that it can safely expand to other types of DJing and not lose its origins. It will always have a digital DJing focus but I don't believe that means there shouldn't be a place that invites all these other discussions. I would love to see a lighting and PA community , mobile community , CDJ & Vinyl community , etc. |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 18.11.2011 | So Photojojo, whats your view on this subcommunity
idea. I'll take your call on the Batphone in the Batcave if your prefer:-) |

I agree mobile is totally different from club DJ'ing. Mobile DJ's tend to be more multi genre and multi era with regards to music. There are also differences in gear s used. Mobile DJ tend to have more gear to worry about. Lighting, speakers, amps, displays for those video DJ's etc. Not to mention the way you market yourself as a club DJ is somewhat different from a mobile DJ. I also believe more mobile DJ's tend to embrace the controller market more so that club DJ's. Although, that is slowly changing. In that regards, I believe a separate community would be very beneficial. Think of it this way, if you like hip hop, you won't really go to an electro club would you? I mean music is music right?....not so much. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 18.11.2011 | Well i guess that kinda stuff can be asked in General Discussion but... I like it. Too many people look down their nose at Mobile DJ/wedding/Top 40/Local kinda stuff on this community (sorry but thats my opinion). Although i dont see Top40/Open Format Djing the same as Mobile, i mean my Top40 gigs include Dubstep/D&B/HipHop/Indie etc and can get pretty far removed from just playing Black Eyed Peas but... Unless persuaded otherwise, im erring on a +1 to this. Lets see where this one goes |
