Its not the first time ive heard that the Mods didnt intervene when things got out of hand.

The more i hear about DJF the less i understand.
Not all community s are run the same. It would never fly here or on NI community s or places like that but they are different places with different vibes. Some community s are more sterile (NI community s) and not all community s keep an all ages vibe like here.

DJF tended to be a lot more relaxed and in general different things were accepted. To be honest I believe people got some sort of entertainment out of some of it and enjoyed trolling back or they would have stopped it earlier. I posted actively over a year and a half period and after my first account was permabanned I made a new one and it was quickly discovered who I was and the mods let me keep posting for a while after that on the second account.

When it got to a point where it was disruptive they permabanned the second account. It's not like no one was around or letting that go on meant DJF was somehow run poorly.

But like you said, I don't post like that here or act like that anymore. I grew up.

You do make it sound like you were an absolute nitemare.
You also got banned a number of times.

All that is of no interest to me as a DJTT Moderator because you dont behave like that here but, what i do not understand is how and why you were allowed to get away with it so many times and for so long because the level of 'Cockness' that you seemed to reach was pretty astounding.

Knifey, that's mainly why we started this site- the downtime. If/when DJF comes back there is plenty of room on the internet for everyone- we aren't saying "down with DJF", but this site is going to be run differently, with more of a focus on the community and openness in communication. I really hope to develop this into a tight knit community where everyone can connect and share ideas- more of a by the people for the people kinda thing!

It doesn't take 4 months to start from scratch. Word is that the servers were erased, so there are no backups available. Definitely a problem with the host. I'm really not sure what happened, but I'm just passing along what I've heard.

15.12.2011		Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on the DJ Syndicate Site...

Regarding the design. It's only been up for a few days now.
The banner will absolutely change and be much smaller. We know it's too big- the primary focus in the beginning was just to get something up to give old DJF members a new home.
I'd expect that to be complete in about a week or so.

We do have many old DJF members over there already, so you are all welcome to join! We're very open to feedback and want to make the site as good as possible.

We have alot of plans in the works, and we plan to add much more to the site than just community s- though that will be the main section. As a former member of DJF myself, I'd love to see you guys over there!
