I don't like it set to relative, although I am sure Ean has some reasoning behind it, maybe to get more subtle control over the pitch fader. oh btw, I'm a woman not a man. heheh. Although my screen name does sound a bit manly. It's my favorite Bjork song. |

Instead of using shift+jog to drop a cue use it to drop a grid marker ean already has the move grid built in to the mapping and i just use the right and left keys on my keyboard to shorten or lengthen the grid. I also have the tab key as a deck focus to help you select which track you want to shorten or lengthen the grid. Finally I use the down key to lock the track. It depends on you as well. More often than not I shorten.lengthen the grid than moving it so I will probably switch the move grid to my keyboard. I am investigating how I can add the move grid and adjust grid commands to the outer ring using different modifiers. I'll post up my results when I get around to it. |

So if you like your settings, then do an export to save them before testing these. Then you can always revert later. Otherwise DONT import this part of the TSI file. |

However, it is a noted issue and will be something to be looked at in the future. |

The reason I am asking is for disco and old school tracks with a live drummer I still use my pitch control when mixing. Not sure I am describing it right but hopefully someone can give me a tip on what to do. Thank you |
Jolyn Brunello 22.02.2010 | @flashflooder...i've racked my brains about this jog wheel glitch and am afraid im new to this so apologies if im wasting your time but in the 3.0 beta the jogs work fine as does the progressive bend.the only other difference i can believe of is that in the beta tsi if you use the slice button it resets and in the updates it has been changed.im believeing because the jog is being used for this maybe it is somehow affecting it.i would love to be able to investigate further but have only had traktor and vci for about 2 months and wouldn't know where to start.you say its hard for you to replicate this problem.so to clarify your progressive pitch bend is working aswell as the jogs no problem.please reply mate when you've got time |

Can you easily turn off all presets or all effects banks at once? |
Dustin Haper 21.02.2010 | Im gettin the jog wheel problem and on the pitch faders sometimes when i try to adjust the pitch just slightly it will jump like 8% :S oh and when i hit sampler the cue buttons dont light up, but otherwise im lovin it |
Ryan Deegan 21.02.2010 | Love the mapping! The one glitch I'm getting is when using shift and jog wheel to drop a cue point it also momentarily stops the track. It seems like the cue dropping feature and the normal scratch function of the jog wheel happen simultaneously instead of the cue feature over riding the scratch function. I'm using Tractor 1.2.4 on a mac and fw 1.3 |
Giselle Kawalec 21.02.2010 | whats up robbie.. try importing the tsi a couple of times.. if that doesnt work.. try pressing play.. if it is still happening.. try pushin the song along with your job wheels and see what happens.. i find sometimes the new mapping has this problem |
Jolyn Brunello 21.02.2010 | @gotcha it should turn up wet/dry as u bring it down also the fx in the middle slot should raise also.if its not working re install the tsi as it theres noproblems with it.(make sure u use the big import at the bottom left not add.) |

Alina Rampersad 21.02.2010 | traktor scratch pro 1.2.4 firmware 1.3 audio 8 dj macbook running osx 10.6.2, 2gb ram, 2.4 ghz i've just downloaded the new .tsi and the decks won't play for me. when the play button in pushed (either on the controller or on the computer) the deck plays for a split second then stops. |
Art Freetage 21.02.2010 | right, I understand the freeze function. what about the level fader doesn't control amount of fx2? is this also limit of fw 1.2? |
Jolyn Brunello 21.02.2010 | @gotcha it does tell you that fw 1.2 doesn't freeze when you pull the fader all the way down you need 1.3 for that. @haze did you manage to get both jogs working.would you post the tsi if so. |
Broderick Vagner 21.02.2010 | I have traktor version 1.2.4 Is that different than the 1.24? |

Leota Saniuk 20.02.2010 | i have to agree that i would like to see some use of softtakeover. i realize that ean mentioned that when using fader fx mode he ensures that at the end he always puts the volume fader back into position. for the pitch fader we have a reset mode but its a bit tedious to use and forgetting it can have horrible effects. so i would like to see softtakeover both on the pitch and volume faders. i would also like it on the gain knobs since i use auto gain. |

I noticed however, that it doesn't make much of an audible difference if your moving the grid and tempo bending at the same time. As long as your not doing it for an extended amount of time you should be fine. |

The firts 3.0 beta tsi file release works with "scratch", "pitch bend" and "move beat grid" so i compared with the last one, but im not shure whats wrong with the "move beat grid" part. Maybe some modifier problem. |

On Traktor 1.2.4 and FW 1.3 and I've loaded the TSI multiple times with no change (other than the effects selector issue "resets" and I can select 1-3 again until I press the FX type button) |
