MF Instant Gratification Mapping V1.0 (S4 and other controllers) Download the mapping here: http://www.djranking s.com/wp-conten...4Banks-1.0.zip This mapping requires 4 banks mode to be activated Learn how to enable 4 banks mode here: http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=9961 This mapping was designed for the S4 but is compatible with Traktor Pro and all controllers. If you have an older MF (pre 2/2011) you will need to update the firmware Get the auto firmware updater here (mac and pc): http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=24401 | |
Mee Pennucci 16.04.2011 | Awesome mapping! I have to much fun with it However, I recently discovered that the Delay T3 LED will not lit if you store the effect in bank D while the other decks work. |
Jamika Codding 15.04.2011 | I am not sure if this is a dumb question; however, I have some ideas I would like to implement on top of the Instant gratification/VCI mappings. Would anyone happen to know how I can get a cheat-sheet of the modifiers used for both mappings? If I am able to accomplish what I am believeing about, I will *definitely* share & document the spoils. This is what I am believeing: Having the 4 banks instant gratification map on the MF act as it normally does with the exception that if you tap the bank button again, the button will blink (instead of staying on solid), and you will enter a cue/loop-juggling mode. For TP2, I am believeing of reversing the bank buttons for the "C" and "D" decks. Single bank button tap will go into loop-juggle mode. I have to experiment with the FX (as I am still learning TP2). I guess, I can hack at it. I thought I would first attempt to find out if there were any easier ways first. Thanks, Rudy |

My apologies mate in advance for the simple question... I really would appreciate your reply. |

Delmer Damons 13.04.2011 | Ok! thanks , i forgot to change to four banks mode... it works perfect now! |

Delmer Damons 13.04.2011 | i mean the function of the first line |
Delmer Damons 13.04.2011 | I dont know what do the first (up) line of buttons do... there are effects? can i use them to assign the midi fighter to another bank? what is the function? |

Claire Baratto 07.04.2011 | At last i took the time to read the Forum to get the MF to rock along side my S4. This is a kick as set up. A bit sad though that my trusty ol VCI is in storage. But if it wasnt for that baby i havent found these programming geniuses. Kisses and hugs from Sweden. |
Petronila Mothershead 07.04.2011 | I'm trying to map this to my Xone1D, I transposed all the notes accurately re: the chart the nice man made a few pages back, but I'm still having problems. when i press any of the buttons, the effects activate and go to their certain parameters, but it doesn't actually turn on the effect on the deck. how do I fix this? how do I control which deck im putting effects on anyway? what is 4 banks mode? i know how to set it up, and have on my MF but i dont really get what it does. |
Daisy Dotseth 07.04.2011 | For the record i love this mapping big time already - my main regret is not getting off my ass sooner and loading it |
Daisy Dotseth 07.04.2011 | Anyone care to make an S4 Only variant of this mapping? ( i would but we would probably be controlling DJ robots by the time im done) The way i see it the top set of buttons (selecting decks 1-4) are a bit wasted on the s4 as there are already buttons dedicated to selecting the channels you want the effects on. Getting rid of them serves 2 purposes: 1 - You could then use the effects on multiple channels if you wanted... 2 - you could have a whole other row dedicated to a new awesome effect (beatslicer or some of the new T2 FX?) maybe even a modifier or shortcut to the combos? Just a thought |
Chin Thoroughgood 07.04.2011 | hey i know how to change the channel i just dont know what channel 3 looks like on the MF and since its 0-15 I am even more confused ( i dont know binary i am sorry i am not a robot) can you please just tell me what channel 3 looks like in the leds of the MF in channel section of menu mode? NVM! ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!! for anyone that needs it ch. 3 looks like: # . . . . . . . . . * . o . . o It finally works!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh yeah kool aide man!!! |

I hope that's clear enough?

1. MIDI Channel
--------------- Code: # . . . <- Flashing exit key . . . . * * * * <- MIDI Channel in binary o . . o <- increment/decrement keys Each note generated by the Midifighter is generated on a single MIDI channel. By default this is Channel 3, but the first menu item allows you to change this to any of the 16 MIDI channels. The 4-bit binary value can be altered by incrementing and decrementing or you can directly toggle bits in the value itself. NOTE: MIDI channels are written down as "1..16" but their binary number is written "0..15", therefore all leds off will represent the binary value b0000, which is interpreted as "MIDI Channel 1", b0001 is "MIDI Channel 2", b0100 is "MIDI Channel 5", etc. |

You might want to try importing everything including gui layouts, redownloading the mappings (though i doubt that will help), reinstalling TPS4 (or upgrading to TP2 which I assume you plan to do anyway at some point...) generally though I'm at a loss I'm afraid. |

Downloaded the MFUploader and file "midifighter-2011204.hex" from DJTT page. 2. Connected MF in boot mode to windows vista and select drivers from folder location: %ProgramFiles%/DJTechTools/MidifighterUpdate/BootloaderDrivers 3.Launched MFUpdater and because I have been having problems fetching the .hex file with the updater (it maxes out my cpu then freezes) so I simply hit file in the menu, then upload the "midifighter-2011204.hex" then follow the steps to flash the firmware. 4. Fire up TPS4 and import the file: "MF_FX 4Banks 1.0.2.tsi" with the import button on the midi mappings page. 5. Menu pops up that says Import effects, Gui, controller mappings, etc. I select only controller mapping and effects settings. 5. I select Ins/Outs to MF for each channel (A,B,C,D) for the 4 deck mapping 6. Reload TPS4 midi mapping in controller manager (twice to be sure) 7. Get the midi fighter into 4 deck internal mode through the menu and the light pattern looks like this: . . . . #. . . . . * * * . . * (# = exit key, . = light off, and * = light on) 8. Exit out of menu and open TPS4. 9. Load a new track to deck A, and select deck A on midi fighter, then.... 9. Get Rejected.... LIKE A BOSS TPS4 is still getting the midi messages because at the top little section that says CTRL is lighting up when I press buttons on the midi fighter, yet nothing happens with the effects. Am I missing something here? It doesn't feel like I am but hey I am no tech tools guru. (it works with controls that i map but not with the mapping at all) sooo yeah... thoughts? |
