New Behringer Kit
Posted on: 19.01.2012 by Sulema Eshel
See http://www.behringer.com/EN/Category...rs.aspx?s=O500 & prices are on various pics at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...8621758&type=1

$99 - $149 for the modulars
$199 for the mixtrack type dual decks (with no balanced out - bit of a fail)

Need to see the build quality as ever with Behringer, but they do look nice

That is what I thought...but wasn't sure...the ladder gave more resonance and xone was more subtle. Thanks for the image...I will try it out and see how I like it....

it isn't my main controller, I use an X1 & F1 with a Denon DN-X1700 as my main setup...I don't really need jogwheels...but the mixer is pretty big & heavy to lug around...so the MC3000 is a nice size...I was interested in the MM-1 and PL-1 actually. but just didn't want to wait any longer.

I got my Denon for $340 (new)...so this is not that much cheaper than the Denon not that $100 is nothing...but the Studio 4A is not 1/3 th price either......and the build quality of the MC3000 is awesome. it feels like it can take some punishment...not sure about the Studio-4A since it is not out yet...

2013 should be a fun year. Behringer's CMD line, and (hopefully? potentially?) VDJ8 should be a killer combo.

HAHA! No, at the rate I typically post now we'll see CMD out before I hit 1000 I believe. We'll have a CMD reveal of sorts either the end of this week or beginning of next. Not a product release (yet) but something fun.

Hey nem0nic - I hope you're not saving up post 1000 for a big CMD unveil?

I don't want to wait that long....

Some of them have a detent. Some of them don't.

Hey nem0nic, does studio 4A pots got that snap in middle position as same as MM-1 EQ knobs? Would like to see looks of it in this stage...

damn this mm-1 is looking very nice on the picture.
i def want one... now(!)
Diogo Dj Dragão
09.08.2012
does the MM-1 have pots with a center indent?
Yes, the pots on the MM-1 have a center detent. But the CMD controllers in general use a LOT of rotary encoders instead of pots, so on other controllers you're more likely to NOT have a center detent.
Eloy Kiepke
08.08.2012
God i hate knobs with no center indent... There are so few things I'd ever map to any knob, that require that much precision that close to zero, to justify a seemless knob.

...In fact the only thing coming to mind right now is for some reason if I had to map tempo to a knob.

I'm still sad about the lack of a centre pot indent on the K2.
