VCI-100SE TSI Version 2 Feedback
VCI-100SE TSI Version 2 Feedback 2_0 has some big changes (hense the 2.0) but its the most usable and fun TSI i have made so far. super easy to use but there are many, many deep layers of power under the surface. To see what the functions of this mapping do, please visit our mapping tab at the top of the page. When Posting bug reports here please make sure you mention:

Corey Holm 23.03.2009 | Same for me when i use shift and tree. FW 1.3 |
Doug Bieling 23.03.2009 | I've got it running on my 1.2 only certain things won't work Not sure if this is a bug due to 1.2, can anyone with a 1.3 try this to see if they get the same issue.... its a poss show stopper! When you are in browser mode and you attempt to use teh shift + tree buttons this can also sometimes start or stop deck B (possibly also deck c or d also) Gav |
Alice Seanor 23.03.2009 | Does this only work with VCI-100SE's or can it work with my regular VSCI-100 running FW 1.2 (with Traktor Pro 1.1) |

Salina Belonga 22.03.2009 | Also: Only 2 of the effects buttons work to activate effects (turn on and off) The far left one and the third one are the only ones that activate and deactivate effect parameters. The fourth button turns on and off key lock and the second button does nothing. The buttons work in SHIFT mode to change effects, however. Is there a way to allow it to activate/deactivate the effects like in the last mapping, as well as working with SHIFT? EDIT: Just found out that the Bank 1+2 (both deck effects button) does not allow control of both effects as per the last mapping as well. That was an important feature (to have each side control both deck effects as well as 1 pot controlling 2 effect parameters. ) EDIT 2: The "Copy to C" and "Copy to D" buttons (old SNAP and Deck C buttons) mess with Traktor's layout. Pushing the buttons causes the layout to reset from "4D Ext. Mixer" to "2D Ext. Mixer" mode or the like. This is consistent even after restart and reloading the TSI. Amazing layout though. Much more user-friendly and manageable than the latter ones. Keep it up and we can all work out these bugs together to get those final vinyl layouts out! Traktor Pro 1.1 FW 1.2 (soon to be 1.3, if it matters) |
Van Czar 22.03.2009 | Just find a pair of led bugs in the first try, but still surfing in this this new amazing map. thanks again... FW 1.3 |
Emma Pe. 22.03.2009 | Okay, so far Ean, I'm very impressed. This is I believe the first time that the four-deck mode can work with the vci-100 (I have the FW 1.3). If people are having odd light issues like mine did when first enabling the midi files, switch between performance/juggle/deck c+d modes and the lights will now work appropriately! I'm not so sure about the way to enable cue/loop points with the wheels. I for one leave the "Key" feature on at all times, so maybe it would be better to enable it within that button (originally the "effect" button, in the mixer). Great job, Ean. |
Salina Belonga 22.03.2009 | EDIT: I found the right headphone button also activates the third effects button (second from the right) Traktor Pro 1.1 with FW 1.2 (about to get 1.3 when FW kit comes in mail) |
Paul cooper 22.03.2009 | The work put into this effort is very much appreciated. Ean, you make all of our jobs better and much more enjoyable. keep up the great work. played with 2.0 all evening after my gig. it keeps getting better. thanks. |
Corey Holm 22.03.2009 | Super nice work. It works great. I special like the FX section because i dont use deck C and D so much But i cant get the "tree" button to work like the jpg picture. When i press "shift" and "tree" it load the track but "shift"+"list" up/down works. Can you explain how it should work? The only bug i found is when in juggle mode, the led on the deck 2 pause button doesnt change. But that was easy to add in midi conf. |

I will look into making some plates and see how expensive they would be. when you say the FX dont load the labels- do you mean the labels on the VCI or on the JPG we sent? We are still struggling with getting the loading of direct FX to work properly. It has to do with the order of FX in your FX window. |
DJ Pablo 22.03.2009 | Great, Like the cue storage function. |
Eulalia Stiglitz 21.03.2009 | @Davemex Yeah, took me a minute to figure it out. It is changing the view because it is going down two in your view settings. It is meant to go from 2D int to 4D int when you hit either deck C or D button. Then when you unselect C or D it goes back to previous view. These settings don't import with the tsi file, so set it up so that the first in the list is 2D int, and the third is 4D int. It will work perfect after that. |
Kathe Lefcourt 21.03.2009 | First, I'd just like to second the comment that all your hard work on this new TSI is absolutely amazing! Thanks for keeping at it. The only issue I've found so far with TPro 1.1 and FW 1.3 is that when I hit the deck C or D button it is changing the view on my screen from 4D+Int.Mixer to 2D Ext. Mixer. Any thoughts as to whats causing that? Dave |
21.03.2009 | MattESSC, there is a reason it always defaults to 16, you'll have to go into Midi Mapping in preferences and dig around for a setting called, 'Loop Size' for decks A-D on notes F7, F#7, G7 and G#7 ... and look for Button Options, Set To Value = 16.. from there, assign the value you'd like it to be 4, 8, 32.... whatever. |
Takako Ragudo 21.03.2009 | How do you drop a loop? I can't seem to figure it out.. Edit: figured out how to drop one. Is there any way to change how many bars a loop is when its dropped, or is there a reason it always drops at 16 bars? |
MadMan Ajms 21.03.2009 | yeah..found it Tree collape is the SHIFT + LOAD B |
Takako Ragudo 21.03.2009 | You must hold the SHIFT button while pressing the tree expand buttons. |
MadMan Ajms 21.03.2009 | +1 for the plates..awesome idea. ..again nice work! |
Eulalia Stiglitz 21.03.2009 | First of all, I wanted to thank you for all your hard work. I switched from a Numark Omni Control to my VCI-100 thanks to your website, and never looked back. Thanks to your customizations, the VCI-100 is truly an amazing machine. Using FW 1.3 with Traktor Pro v1.1.001 One problem I noticed was that with deck D engaged when I turned scratch off, instead of speeding up/slowing down the track, it controlled deck B. In bank 1+2 mode the 2 fx knobs control fx 1 & 2. Since in fader fx mode, the pitch fader controls the first paramenter, wouldn't it be better for the knobs to control fx 2 & 3? When enabling key lock for either deck B or D, it also turns on effect/parameter 2. None of the labelled effect buttons load what the label says. These are all I've found so far, but will post if I find anything else. Thanks, Gabor P.S.: Would it ever be possible to make plates instead of the overlays? I'm planning on painting mine black and doing the arcade mod. I believe it looks much cleaner with the plates instead of the stickers. Perhaps if we get enough people to commit, we could do a special group purchase? |
