2_0 has some big changes (hense the 2.0) but its the most usable and fun TSI i have made so far. super easy to use but there are many, many deep layers of power under the surface.

To see what the functions of this mapping do, please visit our mapping tab at the top of the page.

When Posting bug reports here please make sure you mention:
  • what firmware your using
  • which version of traktor (you must have 1.1 or later)

The fix for the time being is to disable midi out to your VCI, so your buttons won't change colour but your software won't crash either.

Thx for the tip and the reference at the NI Forums.

I have a gig tonite and still am not sure if I should risk it....
I guess I will use a two Laptop Setup and an external mixer always running a backup track on Laptop 2 - because I am loving the new Layout!

PS: The button lightings are somehow off anyways as the second effect button would be on when the effect was off and vice versa.

that seems odd as well. For some reason no matter where the C filter knob is rotated, i cant seem to engage the soft reset for the filter. oh well it's only a minor bug that i hope will be pacified with FW 1.4 (any beta testers needed?)

A newer TSI has been created. Version 2.2 can now be discussed here

(Using v2.2 with fw 1.3)

Hi All,

It's my first time posting. Thanks for all the insight and help here on the community s. Here's my question:

I'd like to try having my beat juggle buttons trigger stored cues "5-8" for each deck while I'm holding down SHIFT in beat juggle mode, instead of storing new cues. Is this possible within the limitations of the modifiers? If so, how would I change the current tsi? Thanks!

I believe Claudek mentioned this is the thread....
Pitch Faders as Volumes Faders for Deck C and D (using modifiers) is a great idea.

+1 for that

Hi,

I've Vci 100 standard, it seems that the "tsi" file for SE eidtion doesn't works properly, do you suggest another file for me?

Thanks!

Traktor Pro sporadically crashes using :

XP (stripped/lite version)
Traktor Pro 1.1.2
VCI 100 SE (FW 1.3)
TSI 2.2

Second time around that Traktor crashed (high pitch tone/freeze of audio) when:
- playing around with the effects in Bank A
- & while using effect knobs (in my case beatmasher)
- & while alterantely using fader fx mode

Never crashed before in combination of Traktor Pro (newest update)
and other DJ TT TSIs

Anyone else had this problem?

I do not hear any audible differences when compared to A, B, D.
I believe it is visual..I do see something weird specific to deck C. To get the "reset" the knob has to be around 53% to work, being 0% hard left, and say 100% far right of the fader knob.
Deck A, C & D reset is at 50%. Only thing I see off here and do not see why it is set like this only to deck C.

Must be a 1.3 thing.

08.04.2009
I can t seem to reproduce the filter bug- but will keep on trying... the filter reset is a work around for 1.3 which has double CC's.

Traktor duplicated our double filter (nice of them) but then we didnt need the double CC's so I had to figure out a way to make it work and the filter reset is the only way. The double CC's will be removed in 1.4

yes, the filter is funky on deck c. The reason is the reset is off a little with the 0 position on the VCI-100 or something. I mean the reset is more to the right (say 53%) where as on deck d it is at 50% mark between the knob. strange..Does it really need a filter reset?

Funny thing is my friend is having the same issue on his nearly identical setup. which leads me to believe others might have the same problem. so I ask, next time your in Deck C use the mouse to offset the Deck C filter. Then see if that value snaps back to 0% once the center indent on the knobs engages. which i believe is Note F0 on Ch1.

Didn't really get through the 13 pages, therefore some repetitions may occur.

1. I'm confused about the fader fx: Is it on purpose that the jog and volume fader both controls the wet/dry knob?

2. The hotkey fx in shift mode are not the same as on the layout.

3. I need away to assign fx to deck c and d. You have to use the mouse to assign bank 1/2 to deck c/d. I suggest that the shift button + the assign bank buttons?

4. the filter doesn't go al the way to 100? I'm not sure if it's a problem with my controller, the tsi or the update ver.?

Great tsi though. Looking forward to 2_2. S

Thx for the all the hard work!

That beiing said - here some things I have noticed:

- Key sometimes activates Effect "2",
- lights of the effects (in particular effect Bank 2) are sometimes incorrect meaning light is lit when effect is on and vice versa.
- When using deck copy the copied deck will not automatically play
- Pitch range does not match the setted range (in preferences) - it is actually much less (maybe 3-5%?)

Traktor 1.1.2
VCI-100 FW 1.3
Stripped Win XP, SP 2

PS: Loving the intuitive Effect and loop controls - would change the config to have control over the deck c and d volume while using deck a and b. Maybe over a modifier - but that might just be my personal preference

Im having trouble with the filter while engaged in deck C. it seems as if the center indent will not reset the filter to 0% as occurs with the other 3 decks. For example say in deck A I bring up the high pass to 20%, after engaging deck C the filter would then have a 20% variation that never gets reset. Could not find any errors by observing the midi mapping so i was wondering if anyone had any idea what might be causing this. any have the same issue.

to further clarify: TSP 1.1.1 , FW 1.3., TSI version 2_2

p.s. i don't get this problem in 2_1

hmm.it is a little weird and not getting it . I load a track it it loads 2.8% more than the original pitch. Example the tune is 130 bpm default, when loaded into deck, it says 132.7.When out of relative mode, analig fader, it acts normal. I'm curious about this and the reason.

I believe its because by default the fader resoultion is set to something like 29%, change that to 100% and you'll have 8/10 % percent of travel.

I found that the fx send buttons (1/2/1/2) do not work for setting them in deck c/d (the small buttons that used to be loops)..I had to redo them for decks C/D control.

the only bug i've found and sorry if it was mentioned before is that my status light when turning on fader fx mode doesn't light up when using mapping 2.1 with traktor pro 1.1.2 on a vestax vci-100 firmware 1.3

I just have to say I tried the 2.2 toevening with my external audio card and have to say it is a really nice TSI for use with an external mixer. The eq's as sends are quite handy. I used 4 decks using an agregated device to get 3 outs from my Presonus and an extra pair from my usb card. Works quite nice.

Could anyone please drop the downloadlink for TSI 2.2?
Of some reason I haven't received the 2.2 TSI as usual on e-mail? (Have received all the previous ones).

People seem to be quite happy about it in the community . Can’t wait to play around with it.

Thanks a lot

I believe all you need to do is go into the midi map section and click add

find the sync command in the long list of commands

click learn

press the loop out button

turn learn off

test your new command .. should work .. hopefully

Ive not actually done it but if i wanted to thats what i would do

believe it is this, but really this is not on topic to this thread and really hi jacked.

This means that you no longer have to drag your mouse over the box, click and then delete all the text. Just simply hit browse and type away!

From here I have added a 'search clear' command to the load buttons. This makes things even easier again and just clears the search bar so you reset to the playlist you were in beforehand. I find this handy when mixing tracks in a set playlist and finding the exact one you want quickly, then jumping back to the playlist and allowing you to carry on from there.
