nayit ruiz jaramillo 24.12.2011 | Oh fuck it, im just gonna buy it and make maps before i eventually get an iPad. Gonna try make them with Xtreme Mapping. I can check the maps on my iPhone. Damn you Padi_04... i have to blame someone so im blaming YOU...!!! |
Nedra Fresneda 24.12.2011 | The Lemur editor has MIDI connector icon on the top right, that shows a list of all the MIDI messages your layout contains. The editor automatically sets a different CC to every control you add (unless you copy an item, in that case the CC is doubled as well). |
Lynetta Stanislav 24.12.2011 | Padi how do I check that ? |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 24.12.2011 | I havent got Lemur yet but ive made layouts on TouchOSC, its dead easy. I dont imagine making an EQ layout is that hard ...??? Have you got the Lemur app Neil..? Can someone tell me, does the app have to run on the iPad or can you create the layouts on a Macbook Pro..? I assume its iPad/iPhone only..? |
Lynetta Stanislav 24.12.2011 | These are starting to look to cool guys , not got a clue how to start building a lemur template would love one where u can control the xone 4 eq in the s4 , will anyone be sharing the templates and tsi and possible videos of how to build your own templates. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 23.12.2011 | @dukebd24, have you mapped the EQs to faders? Thats what i was believeing as i believe they would be easier to use than the knobs. The knobs on TouchOSC are shite and hard to use (imho). |
Virginia Flaagan 23.12.2011 | ill try it out toevening . looks good though. |

Kenya Zaretsky 23.12.2011 | nice to see people working on a lemur template for ipad. screenshots would be nice |
Mathilda Mecias 23.12.2011 | basic 2 deck traktor template for ipad with 2 volume faders, pitch bend strips, pitch faders, phase meters and track progress meters, 4 fx banks, 3 band eqs with kills, filters, 8 cue points, and 8 different loop lengths. no fancy physics or scripting, just a basic map. i didnt like using knobs on the touch screen with the limited space on this template, so i opted for bipolar faders for the eqs, filters, and fx. http://www.2shared.com/file/RW9u_NT_/Traktor2.html 2 deck traktor layout with twitch like strips, phase meters and track progress (padi_04 thanks). the two faders below the touch strips/phase/progress are for tension (left fader) and friction (right fader) of the pitch bend touch strip (big red one). the fader on the right is a pitch fader. each of the top containers contain fx banks 1/3 on the left and fx 2/4 on the right. each has dry/wet control as well as 3 faders for chained effects or paramaters for advanced effects. there is also an on/off for each fader. in each fx container, there is a menu to select fx 1 or 3 (left) and fx 2 and 4 (right) there are 2 volume faders for 2 decks. each deck has its own container. the first tab is eq+kills, filter, play/pause, cue (light blue) and sync (orange). the 2nd tab has 8 cue points and auto loop for 8, 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 beat loops. press and hold to loop, release to release loop. no tsi file yet, that will be on hold until after Christmas. if you are going to download this, click the blue "download" button at the bottom of the screen, not whatever the fake download thing in the middle is |
Nedra Fresneda 22.12.2011 | Giving this a shot running beside the S4. Nothing too fancy, just want to test it's stability in a live scenario. From testing it's a lot more responsive. I also map the out commands to the faders for them to update their position when you change the FX, moving 3 faders mapped this way made TouchOSC stutter quite badly, Lemur can handle 8 with comfort. Like I said before, the menu element wins the day. |

Romelia Stankard 21.12.2011 | Why do you want to scratch with a touch screen? the map I linked above has this: It doesn't work well |

Romelia Stankard 21.12.2011 | The problem is not the software it is trying to scratch by rubbing your finger on a touch screen |

Nedra Fresneda 21.12.2011 | Setting up a phase meter is quite simple. Just lay a thin bipolar(centered) fader and have traktor send the deck's phase meter to that control. The extra lines on it are probably just a | label over it With Lemur you might want to use a multislider (with only 1 slider), since you won't be needing a fader cap and you get a bit more detailed feedback when the phase is close to 0. Something like this: Orange being phase, blue twitch like bend/scrub and track progress below it. |

It's so unfair, really, TouchOSC would be cremated by Lemur when it comes to functionality. Nonetheless, there remains the fact that (1) it's quite complicated to get anything out of Lemur beyond what one could do with TouchOSC and (2) TouchOSC does have some superior functions such as the Z variable for all control types. >Miles-D You can stretch the legacy templates with a... um... not sure but something called like the "stretcher". Anyway, what do you want to see in a Traktor Lemur? Tell me. I mean, the easiest thing to do is to map every single control of Traktor onto a Lemur page but.. who really wants that? I don't want to twist the dry/wet, filter, feedback and rate at the same time just to manipulate a delay... one XY pad is more than enough. So, a good controller really depends on the DJ, I believe. But if you tell me what you want, I might make a template of your dreams and post it here. I like making templates. |

Full control over deck types, beat grids, and everything you could imagine for global settings and focused settings. advanced loops and cues sample decks |
Annalee Egerman 21.12.2011 | Brilliant! The first step would be making the buttons larger, and removing anything that would cut the sound: filter, individual deck levels (and of course setting traktor so that playing decks can't be loaded) |

All modulations are synced to the BPM set in another page (not quite there with syncing via midi clock). Beatmasher has four instant effects that use the ADSR envelope of the pads. These are just two examples of what couldn't have been accomplished prior to lemur (on iPad) but I am sure that a hell of lot more can be done. |
Annalee Egerman 20.12.2011 | Micl, what template are you using? Did you build one? |
