Hi!

DJ Name/Name: Don't have a DJ name because the only people I mix for right now are random people who come over to hang out and a party or two. They like it though and I enjoy it, so now I am getting a bit more serious. Thats why I am here! Me DJing kind of started out as a joke between me and my friend and he gave me the Dj name of "DJ Dempsey"

Where: South Florida

Music: Whatever is fun to listen to. I really started DJing for myself because I just like to listen to music and needed an outlet after some crappy stuff happened. Never intended on people listening to my mixes. I recorded a mix for a friend because he wanted to know what it was I was doing all day. He passed it around and now people enjoy it. I love Indie/trance/hip hop/chill trippy stuff. Dubstep because its just fun to mix sometimes!

Hey whats up?? Not sure why this site took me so long to find. This is exactly the kind of community group I have been looking for.
I have been djing and producing music for about 10 years. I make mainly drumstep music but I do produce other styles as well... I just really like the energy in drumstep(its like dubstep but quicker). You can check out my tunes on soundcloud. Here is a link to my drumstep mix that I made, feel free to download or share with whomever. http://soundcloud.com/digitalbil/dru...-bill-mix/edit... ps your soundcloud code isnt working as of right now

I also do cd duplication, so if you need discs let me know... you can check out my online picture album on my facebook to see the type of cds I have printed for other people. I also admin two large groups on facebook, one for dubstep and another for drumstep.
my facebook dj page is
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Dig...l/164047705137

I look forward to contributing to this community .... thanks for creating it.

It was probably me no setting the In and Out Ports correctly, because i know for a fact that the controller editor and TSI files were loaded correctly. Believe me, me and my friend sat and struggled for hours trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Ooh the frustrations we had lol

Actually, the Maschine would work but it wouldn't be all the correct mappings like the one you demonstrated in your video. And it would be very glitchy as well. Dunno what was wrong with it. But thanks a lot for your help! Tomorrow when i have energy I'm going to start experimenting with the settings once again. I had really given up on it working!

One of the big reasons i was interested in using the Maschine and Traktor together is because i believe i could create something really cool utilizing both the Maschine and possibly the S2. The Maschine really is an awesome piece of hardware.

I still use the S4 sometimes, and I'm loving the S2!

The X1's are a great tool for teaching people how to use Traktor.

I use it all in different situations. The mothership video was more to show people how many controllers you can hook up to a PC and have it all work together. Microsoft asked me to do the video. I wouldn't use all that gear at a live show though. Its unnecessary. But I could!

Also a soon to be announced Traktor update is making me really love using vinyl with Traktor again!

Glad to be a part of the community!
Ah I knew i recognized your name from somewhere! Lol

I absolutely digged your vid on youtube about mashing the MASCHINE with Traktor. Unfortunatly though (this was before i had tables or a controller) I couldn't get my NI Maschine to work correctly with the settings you provided. What a bummer right?

But the video still looked really amazing. Really useful stuff. I even tried mapping the Maschine myself, but to no avail.
