I started Dj'ing in 1975 ( I know - old bugger ), I used to work as a club Dj, I also did some radio and guest spots in other clubs and also fashion stores. I remember when mixing first started, it was really exciting, and there were only a handful of us that could do it properly. All we had was two decks and a mixer. I remember mixing funk back in the day, then rap and hip hop, then came house, acid house and so on. I remember only having 6 house tracks because there weren't enough house tracks on the market to do a whole evening and having the job of trying to introduce them into a funk set. I'm a photographer for my sins and have only recently bought a VCI 100 to have some fun. Sorry, that was more of a life history lol. OH! and I have TINNITUS :eek: from years of having fun DJ'ing ( just thought I'd share that with you ) I used to be based in Glasgow, Scotland but now in sunny London. |
