Vestax Spin Traktor 1.2.3 TSI Fully Working
Vestax Spin Traktor 1.2.3 TSI Fully Working Posted on: 14.01.2010 by Desire Kwiek Ok guys! Here's the most stable and fully working map for the moment. There were some problems and functionality issues with DJBalla's map so I started from scratch. The FX section is fine tuned to suit my needs so if someone wants it changed - just say so Loop section works as follows: Pressing "AUTO" sets auto loop, pressing "SET Cue" sets cue and loop in, pressing In/Out sets Loop Out I've set up the In/Out LED to indicate when the track is in loop. Freezes and bugs now occur very rarely ;] If you experience something weird --> drop a line here ;] So here it is! Enjoy! New version available! See the end of the post 1.0 -- > Attachment 1934 - The Sync Button now flashes with the tempo of the track - Minor improvements - Fixed LEDs MIDI Range issue New Stuff: - Shift + Mic Pitch controls Effect 3 - Shift + Left Jog Wheel moves Up and Down through the track list - Automix + Jogwheels - Controls Dry/Wet on effects! Cooler then you might believe ;] Even More New Stuff (Ver. 1.1) - added LED notification when track is in AUTO Loop - AND FINALLY, after 5 hours of misery... the channel level meters It was a real mission to get them working! - Minor changes Cheers P.S. Quite a messy post this is... I've been posting, reposting and editing it for days LATEST TSI Vestax Spin by oldfashioned - Full MAP for Traktor 1.2.3 (ver. 1.4.3).tsi | |

Kallie Spaine 27.10.2011 | Just curious if anyone is using the USB only (no ac power adapter) and having trouble with the mappings with their spin? |
Micaela Fenderson 04.10.2011 | Prolly a noob question, but for some reason my crossfader and volume faders arent showing up in traktor. I have it up where it shows where they would be, however there is no slider and it just plays the tracks simultaneously. Im stuck and any help would be appreciated. |
Maude Milesky 25.05.2011 | I don' believe anyone answers people questions from this thread anymore |
Mikki Goffard 25.05.2011 | I'm believeing about getting the Traktor Pro 2 Upgrade, does the tsi work with this version? |

Maude Milesky 21.05.2011 | Im not sure if this thread is dead but i am having trouble with my "cue play" button. When the track is playing and I press the button it snaps back to the cue point not when i push the button in but when I let button out which really messes up the beat of my tracks. Second of all when the track has been stopped and i press the "cue play" button it will set a cue point and then start playing AHHHHH soo annoying!! Can anyone help me with this problem? I am using oldfashions latest map and it seems like it is working for them but i cant get this F*#k!# "cue play" button mapped!!! |
Laila Viter 15.05.2011 | Oldfashioned, thank you for mapping this. You saved me a lot of money -- I was between buying the spin and the typhoon at a secondhand shop, and the spin was about $100 less than the typhoon. I already had traktor software from when I worked at a radio station years ago (never used it) so I didn't need the software. Your .tsi file allowed me to more or less plug and play trying to get the main output working with asio4all (that's what I need right??) anyway, thanks a ton!!!!! |
Denny Mazyck 09.04.2011 | This is a really great mapping but there is a few things that aren't working quite as advertised and I wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problems. First, this is a huge problem, when I'm setting a cue point, it set properly, but if I stop the track and try to get back to my set point with the cue point, it sets a new cue where I have stopped the track. Secondly, is anyone else having problems getting the FX go into advanced mode by pressing shift? When im in fx mode, I press shift and it clearly does something because it knobs dont react anymore, but the advanced pane does not come up and does not react. I'm believeing that this is a setting issue. Third, are most people using the pitch bend feature that was added to do their mixing? Sort of like the cdj? |

Fatimah Barzey 28.03.2011 | hmmm-- I will try deleting the settings, but i've tried it on two separate computers both running traktor 1.2.7 and had the same issues on both, with and without a power adapter--- |

Fatimah Barzey 24.03.2011 | is anybody using the mapping on 1.2.7 on a mac? I'm having no real luck with it. I've also been using the official typhoon mapping, and it seems to work a bit better, but there are a few issues i seem to be having with both-- i don't really understand why an update would break compatibility-- on 1.2.7 oldfashioned's mapping won't let me scratch, the play buttons don't work, and the up/down arrows skip about 4 tracks forward and backward in the loading list-- I've tried shift-needlebutton to switch to scratching mode, but it doesnt seem to be working-- has anyone worked on a general description of all of the functions of the mapping or anything? I've read through the whole topic multiple times, so excuse me if i seem to have missed something, i can be a bit dyslexic at times.... |
Coreen Pankow 11.03.2011 | back when i had my spin, i tried to map the LED's to the automix (for FX mode) and get the two VU meters working, but even when it was just the automix --- the spin would still lock up on me. someone in another thread mentioned something about mapping a "resend midi data" command on another midi controller which appearntly unfroze his spin whenever it would freeze up. might be something to believe about if you want that and have the means (i no longer have my spin, but am gonna suggest it to my buddy who i sold it to) |

You mention to set monitoring to channels 3 and 4, which I assume is 'Output Monitoring' - However even when i rotate the above options, i only am able to produce sound through my headphones, and never through the speakers! How do I go about sending the sound through both my laptop/speakers and also the headphones? I appreciate any help given ! |
Zelda Verna 22.02.2011 | Hey oldfashioned, thanks for the TSI. Here is a video of me scratching on the Typhoon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hdncoP9agY facebook: http://www.facebook.com/audioad |
Joanna Blisard 18.02.2011 | Yo I'm a total in terms of mapping, any help getting the ball rolling on this would be appreciated. Any step by steps? |
Eliana Gamlin 14.02.2011 | How do i import a map, im using traktor pro 1.2.4 And my computer is a mac, it doesnt seem to recognize the file Can anyone help, im new at this |

Felix Cretella 10.01.2011 | Im using this mapping, but for some reason the visual parameters on the effects won't work when I'm in 2 FX mode eg when traktor tells me the beatmasher length on the fly. Without being able to see those I have to kind of guess how long my loop is. Why is this? |
Lasandra Cleaves 02.01.2011 | Never mind, if tried both of the settings and they work Learning how to midi map is best by practice |
Lasandra Cleaves 01.01.2011 | Oh and I have another question for you guys: The tempo bend only works by holding the "Needle button" (Modifier #7). But if I change Cond1 on the "Tempo Bend (stepless)" from M7=1 to M7=0, would it work without holding the needle button? Thanks for your quick answers by the way, loving this community ! |
Lasandra Cleaves 01.01.2011 | Spawn, under which Control can I find this setting? I see the control: "Scratch", and the Rotary sensitivity is 6%. What if I move this sensitivty up or down? |
Leonore Jaacks 01.01.2011 | You can adjust the rotary sensitivity in the contoller manager, i believe it's 3 by default, mine is set to 6. Give that a try |
Coreen Pankow 31.12.2010 | i have no idea. im pretty clueless when it comes to midi mapping. sorry dawg |

Lasandra Cleaves 31.12.2010 | Hey, thanks mate, it worked perfectly! But I still have another question, I'm used to spinning with vinyl, and now with the vestax the jog feels a bit too unrealistic, because when you spin the jog, it goes through your track pretty fast... Is it possible to adjust this in the mapping and get this a bit less sensitive? Thanks! |
Coreen Pankow 30.12.2010 | kazzual, read back through the thread a bit. if youre using the spin you gotta set the audio setup from built in soundcard (4 in 2 out) to spin (4 in 4 out) then go to the output routings (master out -> channel 3/4) and precue ( channel 1/2) also make sure your mic FX knob is rotated to the left for single precue (headphone button on spin) all the way to the right is previewing the settings on the mixer hope this helped. |
