Duplicating the DJTT S2 mapping to control 4 decks. Posted on: 12.04.2012 by Daine Ziadeh Since i'm a guy that wouldn't use all of these effects, i'm believeing, is there a way i can use the Shift+Reset modifier in this mapping to engage Deck C and the other Shift+Reset modifier to engage Deck D with all of it's functions? It would be like the S4's Deck C button next to the jog wheel. Instead of the modifiers engaging all of this effects, it would simply swap to the corresponding deck according to which Shift+Reset button you pressed. And also a way to control the key of a song..i'm the type of guy that loves looping a bit, bringing it down to 1/16 and starting raising the key to add that rise effect. thanks alot! | |
Daine Ziadeh 22.04.2012 | There's still some problem, the Effect unit 1 on deck A won't go on. It will only be turned on if i'm on Deck C mode and press the unit 1 button, then both deck A and C will get the unit 1 on. |
Kellie Myrum 22.04.2012 | I removed any shift conditions with this: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 22.04.2012 | If i light the effects and hold shift after they are lit, it won't turn them off. But if i turn on effect units on Deck A and switch to Deck C and deck C has effects unit off, they will turn off on the controller, same for Deck B and D (it's better this way). also there's still a problem with effect unit 1 on Deck A and C, i can only turn it on while pressing shift if i'm on Deck A mode, but when i'm on Deck C mode it works properly. |
Kellie Myrum 22.04.2012 | Update: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 Can you test all FX Unit LED"s behavior per deck, takes a minute? First in deck A mode lite both FX Unit buttons, then hold shift. It should shut them off as long as shift is press but only at controller, screen doesn't change. Then check the rest of decks... If I'm correct that could two more shift+ controls per deck. |
Daine Ziadeh 22.04.2012 | Effect units working, there's only 1 problem, on Deck C Unit 1 doesn't work for Deck A i must hold shift to turn it on (while on deck A) but when i go to deck C mode it works perfectly. Led outputs working perfectly aswell, when i switch modes they turn on or off depending on the state of the effect unit. |
Kellie Myrum 22.04.2012 | FX units 1 and 2 for deck C and D add. I've set shift=0 to this buttons (all deck) so it should lite out as long as shift is pressed. Need confirmation if this works also. If that is so, I thought to make some additional features to this buttons... Check: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 21.04.2012 | Shift doesn't light up. but it's better that way since samples are working. Load deck C and D working |
Kellie Myrum 21.04.2012 | Just added seek position (shift+) and load selected for C and D. Check it: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 U didn't say does shift still lite all the time during in C/D mode? |
Daine Ziadeh 22.04.2012 | There's an extra function on the jogwheel, shift+pitch bend= faster seek position. (the track moves faster when you spin the jog) i belioeve you'll find it on the DJTT mapping. |
Daine Ziadeh 21.04.2012 | Works great, samples button light, and pitch pending + scratch working |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | Shift modifiers are m1=1 and m2=1 so I throw m1=0 on reset button and m2=0 to other, that should shut LED off I guess. Pitchbanding and scratch C/D add http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Yup |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | Maybe I did. Was it like that from beginning or since latest updates? And, shift got it's function only LED is on during in C or D mode, right? |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Yeah, did you do something to it? It stays on when i switch to deck c or deck d. |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | I don't really understand why it won't lite up for track deck but only in sample decks, it is like a walk in the park to map... And does shift still stays on when in C and D? |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Only a few more functions to go! WOOP |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Tempo reset buttons stay on when on Deck C and D now, great work dude Sample buttons don't if this was the function you wanted to achieve. |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | Have a look again, did some changes: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | What about tempo faders an tempo reset buttons A,B,C,D? Does it work properly? |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Nevermind! It doesn't work, it won't light up unless you have deck C and D enabled as a sample Deck. How about the Shift button? When you're on Deck C or D it would stay on all the time? If that doesn't work or sounds stupid, forget it, i'll use On-screen feedback to know when i'm on what deck. |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | I found that info very useful. Hope it's ok now. Sample on "A" and "B" indicators now: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | All works except the tempo reset button. You gotta keep something in mind, tempo reset buttons resets the temp(duh) so if for example you were playing with the tempo fader and you wanted that to go to the original position without moving the tempo you would press tempo reset button and it would take it to the original tempo, this is when the tempo button lights up. If you move the tempo fader again it goes off. So i'm believeing, since it's already being used..you shouldn't use it anymore? Plus it's really complex, when sync is on it doesn't light up even if you press it, since tempo is locked. You should use the sample A and B instead. |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | Active loop deleted, key reset set to 0.000, output C and D add, tempo reset button still question: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Kellie Myrum 20.04.2012 | It always stays on even when u get back by shift+reset? Output can be set, will do it in next update and fix key reset also. |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Another thing! the loop move enconder has another function when you push it..it's making the loop active or inactive, can you remove this? |
Daine Ziadeh 20.04.2012 | Yes it lights up, But it stays lit, first time i press it it'll stay on forever(i usually use tempo reset while on Deck A so i'm believeing the sample A & B should be the led indicator that you are on Deck C or D mode)About the key function it's working correctly, you made a small mistake on the reset, you set value to 0.500, it's supposed to be 0.000. Also, can you make it get sound output when on deck C or deck D? the controller has a bar that indicates the volume level, when on Deck C it won't work. |
Kellie Myrum 19.04.2012 | Deck B loop/move fix and four deck key amount/reset add (loop move encoder): http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 Two questions. -When u'r entering C or D mode, does tempo reset button LED light up to show controller is in that mode? -What about setting some fader fx? |
Daine Ziadeh 19.04.2012 | It's not working for Deck B every other deck is perfect. |
Kellie Myrum 19.04.2012 | Thanks Julian, this is your credit also. After all u come up with idea for this and I'm here just to bring it into reality. Must say that all this I owe to my old bcd3000 where I tested modifiers so thumbs up for that old timer Add loop in/out move for all decks with sensitivity of 50%: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 18.04.2012 | Sick! Almost done <3 This is going to be your Next mapping hit, trust me, i've seen lots of people asking for a map like this |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Cool, have fun with it Tomorrow the rest of it. |
Daine Ziadeh 18.04.2012 | Works now |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Guessing right, simply forgot to do it. Fix: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Daine Ziadeh 18.04.2012 | Loop in works perfectly, the only problem is that loop out has an extra function which is leaving the loop. But if i press it once and then press and hold it again it works, i'm guessing you should remove the exit loop function it has? since i won't be using that to exit the loop, i'd be using the left or right.loop.move (push) to leave the loop/ |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Loop in/out move add but only for deck A at moment. Hope it works Give it a try: http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=417 |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Just checked default S2 mapping, there comes modifier on it but can't really see jog encoder is mapped to do this. It's mapped to loop move encoder if I'm not too sleepy. |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Modifier conditions of jog pitch band. Sorry. |
Daine Ziadeh 18.04.2012 | http://soundcloud.com/julian-veloso/...h19m20/s-Ohcj1 what do you mean pitch banding conditions? |
Kellie Myrum 18.04.2012 | Didn't say you'll have to press shift, just that I could throw same modifiers on those buttons. "In loop active" could do the trick too but this could be better solution because of pitch banding conditions... I'll see where it goes. Link u posted is not available btw. |
Daine Ziadeh 18.04.2012 | no, there's no need for a shift modifier, you don't need to press shift when your doing that on the default S2 mapping, you just need to hold the Loop in button and move the jogwheel, i was sneefing around the controller mapping and i saw a modifier ''Is in active loop'', maybe this? PS: i don't know a lot about modifiers so if that comment makes no sense, ignore it. |
