Denon MC3000 custom mapping available
Denon MC3000 custom mapping available Posted on: 18.09.2012 by James Beling I've just remapped the MC3000 for Traktor Pro 2.5.1 and it's available here:http://maps.djranking s.com/mappings/741 Mapping features: - 4 fx units including fx assign, mode select and effect type. - 4 smart knobs per deck. - 2 banks of smart buttons for beat mashing per deck. - Hotcues in play or stutter mode. - Remix slot parameters. - Beatgridding tools. - Browsing controls. - Snap, Quantize, Record and Crossfader controls. - Layout and resizing options. - Good LED feedback. - Disco mode!! There are several banks of fx and button mashing controls that haven't been assigned yet. I'm hoping other users might get involved in developing and improving the mapping by adding further effects and features. | |
Kellie Myrum 21.09.2012 | No, well just one but it ain't nothing to do with using this concept anyway. I use it mainly for beat monitoring but it is all about how creative somebody can be to explore how many new features can be invented this way. |
James Beling 21.09.2012 | Yeah that's a nice idea. Any perfomance videos around? |
Kellie Myrum 20.09.2012 | Yeah, only a beat position. Thought there's no need for any audio since LED's tell it all. Basically you want to start modifier to toggle on every beat and that gives you engine for modifier loop. In video I showed four beat count but that's only the matter how many modifiers do you line up before reset to first beat. first beat M1=1 second beat M1=2 third beat M1=3 fourth beat M1=4 You can also call it "four bank loop". Imagine you are creating routine on midifighter and set your banks to automatically switch between each other giving you different set of hotcues and pre-FX to jam with out needing to manually switch every time. You can notice that I mapped another button to mode on/off to make it more optional. This is some simple automation, to get by till traktor can offer all of this under a hud one day... And more modifiers |
James Beling 20.09.2012 | Thanks. And thanks for the vid (no sound?) on beat monitoring though it's gonna take me a while to figure out what I'm seeing. I took a quick look at the community
post in the vid, but I gotta read that a few more times til it starts making sense too. Nice super knobs - I get where you're coming from. |
Kellie Myrum 21.09.2012 | As for super knob you can check this. When knob is in middle nothing happens and while moving it up or down different effects sweep in and there is echo freeze at both sides of fader's ends. |

James Beling 20.09.2012 | Interesting. My knobs are definitley one state per twist. Each of those knobs does have about 8 different states for all the various fx modes in the mapping, but I don't believe that's what you're talking about. On the MC3000 there is a button to toggle the CC state of the fx and hotcue buttons, but it's not very super! I must go and check those faders out... |
Kellie Myrum 20.09.2012 | Super fader have ability to send multiple CC massages, one regular CC other CC in between a middle of fader and to the any sides giving you three different states for mapping. MFpro got this kind of faders and here we're talking about smart knobs with one CC massage I would say... |
James Beling 19.09.2012 | First super knob is the armyofme dramatic sweep and the others do things with reverse grain and filters. Disco mode turns the buttons into a 5 stage volume meter monitoring master out (L+R). Not the whole volume range though - only 0.6 to 0.9 |
Kellie Myrum 19.09.2012 | Seems like cool mapping, will check video for sure to see what kind of super knobs are you talking about. As for disco mode, are you using standard beat monitor output? |
James Beling 19.09.2012 | Thanks. Lots of flashing lights? Yes! Video coming soon. |
Kellie Myrum 19.09.2012 | Nice to see it uploaded Does disco mode do what I believe it's name stand for? |
