S4 - What to carry it in
S4 - What to carry it in Posted on: 10.10.2010 by Julissa Serrone Aside from the case meant for it, how do you guys plan on transporting your S4. I'm looking for a cool looking packpack that it will fit in, withough having to drop major bucks. Was looking at one of the old UDG bags, but I believe it's about an inch too small. Any ideas? | |
Fonda Moors 07.02.2011 | Weighs a ton!!! its all very inconvenient i wouldn't dream of taking the s4 out with me...pity.. |
Carlee Pickard 05.02.2011 | Anyone know any other sites aside from DJTT that sells the S4 flight case? I'm looking at picking one up and DJTT is sold out. I'd much rather support the site, i'll wait till I hear back from the store tomorrow when I go in - if Charles isn't sure when he will get the next shipment i'll have to pick it up somewhere else. :[ |
Mariano Godina 05.02.2011 | That looks a good backpack nunz. I'm still looking at the UDG creator 21" backpack. The S4 is just under 20" so I can't see it being a problem. The 22" UDG is out of the question because it doesn't have back pack straps. Other than that, what are peoples thoughts? |
Jerome Burruss 05.02.2011 | This is the best backpack I've seen in this thread. http://www.511tactical.com/All-Produ...Backpack.html# Any other good ones you guys know about? (I'd much rather prefer the backpack over the carrying cases.) |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 04.02.2011 | + 1 does the crumpler fit the s4?? |

Eden Danel 04.02.2011 | Got an email today from Rick at agipro.com . For those of us who ordered the Odyssey bag, it seems we might have to wait until the end of March for them to ship. They're supposed to know next week whether or not at least a small amount of the bags will be available much sooner to get US distributors started. Hopefully that will be the case and those of us who have preorders in will get our bags soon. While I'm still going ahead with the order, in the meantime I'm starting to consider some (at least temporary) alternatives. I'll be flying to Europe at the beginning of March and my S4 and gear are going to need to come with me. The duffel bag I've been carting around to local gigs just won't cut it for something like this. Because it's relatively inexpensive, the Novation 25 bag is in the running. Those of you who have been using this one... what are your pros/cons? Also.. anyone tried the Big Namba studio pack? I know Namba bags came up earlier in the thread, but I can't remember if this one was a S4-friendly size. Looks like a nice setup though Flight case is a no and as nice as it looks, UDG's trolley isn't really right for me. Anyone know if the S4 fits into the 21" Creator Trolley/Backpack hybrid? I want something I can carry on my back, but I've heard that just that one inch smaller makes a massive difference. |

Super friendly and I really would give these a lot of business going forward. Keith (I believe that was his name) was really going above and beyond with all the questions I had. I originally wanted to order the Odyssey bag, and he was very truthful and said the quality of the UDG was WAY better. |
Charline Dye 02.02.2011 | Looks like a good bag Ajanix. Thanks for the pics! |

Sierra Scyphers 02.02.2011 | Hey Folks!! Last week i received my bag for the S4... and i must say, it's fantastic. It's just MADE for the S4. The Dimensions fit perfectly and you still have enough space for your macbook, headphones, cables and different stuff... Although the shop says in its policy that they only send to germany, by request, they also send in other countries! Here's the Link: http://www.deejayladen.com/de/Dj-Con...ity-BAG-1.html And another Version: http://www.deejayladen.com/de/Dj-Con...urity-BAG.html sadly i got ill this weekend and had to cancel my gig so i couldn't test it "in action"... but the material is very good and it's strong fabricated. Also there is enough protection for the controller. I believe this is one of the best bags for the S4... it's not heavy, you can wear it as a backpack, over-shoulder or carry it like a bag and it's crazy cheap in comparison to other dj bags... Check the pics to see by urself! |
Random X 02.02.2011 | Hoping these will come at a better price, as that the Novation bag really has got me believeing. |
Mariano Godina 02.02.2011 | UDG have just announced some new bags for the S4, its becoming very popular and more and more companies are now doing bags which hold it. I prefer a backpack bag over a flight case personally. |
Julietta Mistretta 01.02.2011 | s4 shipping, should be here by weekend. after reading this thread, im more confused than ever on how to carry the s4. i currently have my cdjs in a road ready case, so ANYTHING will beat lugging that thing around. cant wait to lighten the load. digging on those travel cases though. im going to miami for summer and contemplating taking it with me. should i just get the flight case and check my luggage? or get one of those travel packs and taking it as a carryon? i hate checking luggage and fear it being lost, stolen, or broken when not in my possession. |

Nick Ross 25.01.2011 | I just ordered the UDG bag from agiprodj.com You can't search for it...I chatted with Kevin online about the Odyssey bag and the UDG. He sent me a secure cart link and said the product should be online sometime today. They have them in stock. Can't wait for this beast! |
Marylyn Vine 24.01.2011 | According to their website, agiprodj will have the Oddyssey bag starting January 25th. See more at http://www.agiprodj.com/odyssey-brldigitalxl.html It's the best S4 bag I've seen so far aside from the new UDG trolley, but that thing is heavier and more expensive... |
Eden Danel 24.01.2011 | Anyone happen to see if Odyssey's Digital XL bag from the redline series is available for sale anywhere yet? I've done a big of searching since it was announced at NAMM, but have only been able to find listings for the smaller model, which won't fit the S4. Odyssey's site seems to have every bag but that one available. That bag looks perfect for my needs and I had a pretty large amount of travel for gigs coming up soon, so I need something a little better than the makeshift solution I'm working with right now. Hopefully it's already for sale somewhere! |
Daisy Dotseth 23.01.2011 | Yep - im using the novation bag. Works perfectly - fits my laptop headphones all cables etc and lets me carry the s4 on my back when im riding my motorcycle to gigs. I'm adding a decksaver to the mix and it should be a complete win then. |
Art Beatz 23.01.2011 | I posted this thread: http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=23671 I am looking at the Novation 25 Bag ($70) http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/XS25Bag I believe it fits the S4 ... |

I asked the shop in my mail, if the S4 "really" fits inside the bag... but why should they sell it as a package if it wouldn't fit?? And it's crazy cheap!! |

The original Flight-Case is WAY TO HAVY!! It's like three times the weight of the Kontroller alone... so i searched and found this nice Baby, which is perfectly made for the S4: http://www.deejayladen.com/de/Dj-Con...urity-BAG.html http://www.deejayladen.com/de/Native...-inkl-BAG.html They also sell the S4 and this Bag in a Package, so i believe it must be perfectly made... Sadly they only deliver within germany. But i made a request if it's possible to deliver outside germany. (Concerning their policy, they can do it) Looks sweet that thing Cheers, Ajanix |
