S4 - What to carry it in
S4 - What to carry it in Posted on: 10.10.2010 by Julissa Serrone Aside from the case meant for it, how do you guys plan on transporting your S4. I'm looking for a cool looking packpack that it will fit in, withough having to drop major bucks. Was looking at one of the old UDG bags, but I believe it's about an inch too small. Any ideas? | |

Tiffanie Lenski 24.03.2011 | This one isn't a backpack and I'm not a fan of the shoulder strap style bag but as far as functionality this one is pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZIdFIfMhco |
Alyse Mcphearson 24.03.2011 | Umm, dont know if you guys read the specs on this trolly bag for the S4...BUT if your in the airport and your flying with this bag and your s4 in it; then it wont be able to board the plane as the bag is too big as for airplane standard size bags that they allow....This bag is too big to be on board an airplane so that means your S4 will either be stolen, or tossed around like salad in the luggage department and hope and pray that it wasnt stolen by luggage handlers or had 6-100 lb luggage on the very lightweight S4.. I suggest the ODYSSEY BRL DIGITAL XL ...It fits our S4 perfectly and has tons of space and protection and has a seperate luggage for your laptop aswell...And only cost $149.00 (cheap) ...Video ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZIdFIfMhco |
Larhonda Veuleman 22.03.2011 | Looks perfect to me. I'll be travelling to Burning Man this year, and this will handle all my gear happily. |

Kayhan Polat 22.03.2011 | Ahh.. didn't notice this thread. I wonder if you can carry on this on flights and fit airplane compartments. |
Candy Vardy 22.03.2011 | It has a SRP of $279 but should be on sale online or in stores for $249. Its a bit pricey IMO but thats what you get buying a Traktor branded UDG trolley. |
Lin Danek 22.03.2011 | Looks great jay2 - any idea of price? Its not listed on UDG site. [edit - found it on NI, 249 Euro - quite steep] |
Kayhan Polat 22.03.2011 | STYLISH. QUICK. EASY. PROTECT YOUR ASSETS ► Fits everything the traveling DJ needs ► Robust, compact trolley perfect for fl ying to gigs ► Large inner pocket which comfortably holds and protects the TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 ► Special pockets in middle compartment for 15 |
Emiko Lucek 21.03.2011 | While these trollies and flightcases look cool, a few of the members here (myself included) like the idea of just having a simple, softshell backpack. Here's a backpack I currently own, which will soon become my transport. Lacks a really nice secondary pocket, but there's plenty of room inside the main roll compartment. I own a medium right now. When my newly ordered S4 arrives, I can post pictures if anyone wants to see. http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/...mlock-backpack |

Anastacia Gorte 19.03.2011 | This looks great! IF you travel a lot. I really want something like this, but the $280 price is a put off for me. I get out about 2 times a month locally, so I decided to pick up the odyssey case that runs for $99 without the laptop slide/stand. |
Len Lukawski 19.03.2011 | Looks great but $279?! WOW! |
Bailey Fergurson 19.03.2011 | http://www.ultimate-dj-gear.com/uplo..._Factsheet.pdf I believe would be an answer also, especially for the travelling DJ's |
Lucien Kowis 19.03.2011 | Looks like NI listened to the "how am I meant to carry my S4 around in that?!" feedback about their really heavy hard case, because they've teamed up with UDG to make a more practical trolley: Official Traktor Kontrol S4 Trolley Bag From UDG Announced |
Francina Decosse 15.03.2011 | the PDF has the price. It's a lot .... 249EUR/$279, but that's MSRP. It'll retail a bit less, I guess |
Twyla Hilst 15.03.2011 | What's the price for the Traktor trolley? Can't see that anywhere... |

Marylyn Vine 08.03.2011 | In case you haven't seen it yet, the Odyssey bag is in stock and ready to ship at agiprodj.com http://www.agiprodj.com/product_info...oducts_id=1935 There is a nice little video showing the bag with all of its numerous compartments and an S4 inside. |
Elliot Serres 08.03.2011 | I will have to go check this out. Sounds like a option. |
Art Beatz 07.03.2011 | Ok guys- I went into my local Oakley store at the mall and found a nice contender for the S4. It is called the "Status Pack" and sells for $99; only available in black. I checked the measurements and it should house the S4, your laptop (13"-15"), and has extra pockets for headphones, audio interfaces, hard drives, condoms... etc. It also comes with a 13" laptop neoprene sleeve. It is modestly padded all around, but I would not dare to test how protective it is. The material is not as sturdy as the more premium models made by oakley, but what I like about it the most is the extremely lightweight design that will lend its function to what you are actually carrying in terms of weight. I would also add a custom neoprene sleeve for the S4 for added protection. This will be light and easy to travel with You will be shocked at how much this slim bag can hold. Zappos also sells it, and the Oakley site has not posted it as of yet. Note: this is NOT the "surf Bag" I was able to take a few photos... http://www.zappos.com/oakley-status-pack-black |
Mariano Godina 07.03.2011 | LOL classic! |
Francina Decosse 07.03.2011 | Tekki, just checked in the Hungarian distributor website, and the Fusion DJ Workstation bag is 94EUR: http://www.pwmusic.net/product_info.php/products_id/664 also checked in the NL distributor's site (tools4winds) - they don't have the bag listed, but a compare of other product shows a diff of about 15-20EUR! These http://www.tools4winds.com appear to be bloodsuckers, obviously. you may check what would be the shipping from Hungary to NL ... |
