The Vestax Spin DJ Controller! Posted on: 17.11.2009 by Humberto Partis Hi everyone!So, this awesomeness midicontroller has landed to the earth, and some of you already know the name of it, Vestax Spin DJ Controller! Anyways, I got some questions! Some people on DJTT already got it, I saw some comments on the "news" thingy about the controller, and I was wondering, can someone make a review? Video reviews? Some samples? And I got this question about the controller in general! I'm heading to the states in about 38 days, i'm going to stay there for.. 5 weeks! And, already the Spin Controller has been sold out in apple store (shipping in 2-3 weeks)! AND the bad thingy is that - when i'm getting there, the christmas weekend has started and i'm guessing that it's going to be sold out kind of quick ANYWHO, what do you believe about the problem i'll got there? Can I order it when im in the states, and be KNOWING that 2-3 weeks it's on my cousins doorstep? because, sometimes (so i heard) apple can ship stuff after, like.. 4-5 weeks when it says 2-3 weeks I'll hope this thread can be like a "official" Vestax Spin DJ Controller! I marginally was looking at the Numark Total Control then moved my focus to the Numark Stealth Control with the Djio. Now this comes out at the perfect time. Does anyone know if this is available in the physical Apple stores? And eventually will someone get a complete working mapping to work with Traktor? |

| Evangeline Klausman 21.11.2009 | I got the spin last week and had no problem mapping it to traktor pro, except for some of the led indicators, and the main problem is I can't get the cue functions to behave properly. |
| Zenia Boomsma 21.11.2009 | I had some issues with the controller. Once in a while, the controller wouldn't send MIDI signals to my computer. I'm pretty sure it wasn't how my mapping was programmed. I believe it might be that the USB cable was a little loose. I'm still experimenting with it. Anyway, the controller would still receive data for the master and monitor outs, even though the midi didn't work. It kind of sucked, I had to control the computer with my mouse during the peak of my set. At least it worked with Traktor! I'll have to test whether or not it's a software or hardware problem. |
