Behringer Nox 606
Behringer Nox 606 Posted on: 17.02.2011 by Dana Ordinario What is everyone thoughts on this piece of gear. I have heard nothing but great things about the DDM4000 so as long as they haven't taken a giant leap backwards with the new model. I've been scouring the web and have not been able to get any kind of price on this. I am about to buy a new mixer I have been saving for a DDM4000 but if this is going to be released within the next few months I'll wait and save a little more. Has anyone heard whispers of a price/street date? | |

I believe the controller guys are going to miss the MIDI capability, IMHO
On another note, do you know if they are ever going to update the FW on the DDM4K
|
Faustino Stringfellow 01.10.2011 | The effects are still useful, i generally have one of my effects set on Filter anyway .. I believe the controller guys are going to miss the MIDI capability, IMHO On another note, do you know if they are ever going to update the FW on the DDM4K, saving settings like crossfader would be nice ... and some updated effects would be even better ... perhaps just changing the way the DDM4K's filter works, the super-filter thats standard practically everywhere "should" be easy enough to create. |

Also I am interested in the FX matrix, is it true that it's ONE FX, assignable to any channel, not like the DDM4K where there are two chainable units.

Faustino Stringfellow 01.10.2011 | @nemonic. I am also a happy DDM4K user and I am curious about the 606. I can see this has a MIDI out and buttons to control MIDI clock, but what about the rest of the table ? Are the encoders etc. MIDI assignable in the same way as the DDM4K ? Also I am interested in the FX matrix, is it true that it's ONE FX, assignable to any channel, not like the DDM4K where there are two chainable units. It looks like a nice unit, and it may replace my VMX300, which is covered in dust having never been used since the DDM4K arrived. BTW, the DDM4K gets more use than my DJM800. |
Dario Granet 30.09.2011 | It's a shame this mixer does not have midi option. There is no way you can control 4 decks of traktor with it? |
Diogo Dj Dragão 30.09.2011 | The NOX606 was the last mixer to be produced in the line, but it's starting to trickle into stores now. |
Lisa Lochotzki 30.09.2011 | yes |
Erich Essley 29.09.2011 | So what's up with the NOX606? It's been taken off many online stores (They had it with a "coming soon" notice) and Behringer hasn |

I believe these Nox-offs will be the same - if you can afford more you probably won't bother but if you're in this price bracket you'd be hard-pressed to find more for your money, at least in terms of raw features. |

Diogo Dj Dragão 24.02.2011 | Since it isn't Traktor certified, or made by Rane, chances are high that you wouldn't be using it for any kind of DVS use anyway. That interface is built into the mixer to allow a user to incorporate a separate application (like Live), OR to record FROM the mixer. |
Margart Breault 24.02.2011 | Dag, that takes a little of the wind out of my 'super excited for the nox404' sail. I'll have to either use the onboard audio or a separate usb soundcard to use it with mixxx. It's probably not the smartest move to be using outputs from separate soundcards, so I'd most likely go with an external soundcard and the built-in interface will go unused. Decisions must be made by June |
Diogo Dj Dragão 24.02.2011 | ALL of our NOX mixers have one full duplex stereo channel of USB audio. |
Margart Breault 24.02.2011 | hey nem0nic, Since you have a bit of insider info, a lot of people have been saying the nox606 only has 1 channel via usb. Is that the case? Is that true for the 404 as well? I did notice the promotional literature uses plural. nox606
6 Line and USB inputs, 4 Phono/Line plus 2 Mic/Line inputs |
Dana Ordinario 19.02.2011 | Thanks for all the info. I believe for me I'll be getting the DDM4K only because I can't wait and because of the programability into it. Thanks again for really giving me something to look forward to. |
Brunilda Kora 18.02.2011 | Between the DDM4K and the NOX filters, lies my ideal mixer. I want the DDM4K, with the NOX filters, with a 10 channel built-in audio interface. Is that too much too ask? () Don't forget - no buttons around the cross fader! |
Homer Selgado 18.02.2011 | Thanks for the info! Another very satisfied DDM4k owner right here... I'm seriously considering a Nox or another DDM... Extremely torn currently... Because I already have a DDM I will probably get the Nox... But that still hasn't stopped me from fretting constantly over the decision, heh. And another thanks to Behringer for taking charge of this price point so solidly. Everyone stumbles, but the DDM4000 won me over, and I have a lot of confidence the Nox is going to represent another step in the right direction. |

Dana Ordinario 18.02.2011 | Then thank you :P I have been getting the run around from everyone else on an definitive price. For that I thank you. |
Diogo Dj Dragão 18.02.2011 | I'm the DJ Product Manager for Behringer. |
Dana Ordinario 18.02.2011 | Where have you seen that posted. After many many emails I have yet to get a definite cost from any site that even has a pre order from it. |
Diogo Dj Dragão 17.02.2011 | Price for the NOX606 is going to be $399 |
Dana Ordinario 17.02.2011 | Interesting... thanks for the info I need to look at the NOX series harder to make a better choice as to what I need thanks for the info. |
Ralph Alderette 17.02.2011 | the NOX series doesn't have MIDI, its full analog. And the USB interface it has is only for one channel. so pretty much its a Xone:92 with an output for recording ur mixes |
Brunilda Kora 17.02.2011 | I've got a DDM4K and love it - but if I was in your situation I would definitely keep saving for the NOX mixer. Definitely. I might even get rid of my DDM4K ahead of the release of the NOX's and get the 606 myself. [EDIT: Although - it looks like the 606 only has ONE effects sections (assignable across the channels OR on the master out. The DDM4K has TWO effects sections, assignable across all channels, AND in series... Tough one.] |
