Xone: DB2 Thread
Xone: DB2 Thread Posted on: 30.09.2011 by Romelia Stankard I believe it might be time for me to ditch my NI Kontrollers and get back to my Xonetacular heritage.I wonder how much a DB4 and two K2s will set me back. This thing look perfect. http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/Produc...eDB2&SubCatId= Twin DSP FX Engines :: Massive FX Library XoneB2 has more than 50 FX presets divided into 5 FX types: Delays/loopers, Reverbs, Resonance, M odulation and Damage. These are studio grade FX | |

Danae Dumler 02.10.2011 | 1200 GBP?? I thought for sure I saw 999 somewhere. |

Patty Mcgilbra 01.10.2011 | wonder how the X-link will work...maybe you can change stuff like the EQ mode via K2? or even looping controlled by the K2 (doubt that one )... |

Yajaira Hibbitts 30.09.2011 | looking at the features perpective on the db2 i'd rather wait longer and save a bit more and get the db4 plus id still keep my x'1s for the reason that if im using traktor i'd still want the x'1s in hid mode and plus the x'1s in midi mode. for me after trying out the db4, i'd rather use the effects and the looper on the db4 but at the same time i would still get instant grafitication in midi mode still on the x1's. but then again what i heard from my local xone supplier the k2 is meant for the effects section on the db4 or the db2 with the x-link i might be wrong. |
Corliss Michalke 30.09.2011 | I'm going to need this mixer in my life, very soon! I was contemplating the djm-900 as an upgrade from my 800, but this is amazing! Db4 is too much money to spend just for home use, db2 is perfect! |

Danae Dumler 30.09.2011 | Oh man this is tough.... I thought it was going to be around 1800 US also, in which case I was believeing that it's just worth it to go with the DB4, but if this thing clocks in at 999 GBP and can be had on the street for 1200-1300, it's a lot more attractive. Damn though, the looper is one of the things that has me sold on the DB4, but is it worth $1500 just for that feature? hehe One question for DB4 users: can you combine effects on one channel, or are the effects banks exclusive to the channel? On this unit it looks like there are no combos -- if the switch is set to X you're using the X effect, and if it's set to Y you're using the Y effect and that's it.... Hehehe one more edit ... 999 GBP is actually 1560 USD ... still cheaper than I thought this would be but it's not quite the deal it looked like. Stupid falling American dollar.... |

Danae Dumler 01.10.2011 | How do you switch EQ modes on the DB2? The ISO/EQ/Filter switch is missing on the DB2, so I guess it's in software? Much less accessible then. Also is there a looper included? I assume the "Time" knob under the effects window would be it but it's not clear what that is here. And yeah I wanna know price too.... |
Chas Giraldez 01.10.2011 | I'd still rather have a 92 tbh |

Kandy Ahdoot 30.09.2011 | I just came. Was just tossing up between the djm 900 and the db4 But if the price is right I am holding out for this. |
