s i have been searching for a couple of days now for a headphone thread and i didnt seem to find one. Today i took action and created one for us. So :Tell us what headphones do you use or which ones do you hope to get in the future, also share your opinions on them. | |

| Tova Duignan 07.05.2012 | Hey everybody i finally got my hd25s and now i can surely say that everything that the people said about them in this thread is 101% true!. The bass is really there but its not too much so as to cover the other frequencies. The mid freqs are clear so are the highs that are a little bit more accentuated making it easier to mix when you dont use the low frequencies. Overall a great pair of headphones! |
| Iluminada Gallelli 07.05.2012 | I have the Allen & Heath XD-53's. They have good sound, good volume, look nice, and are fairly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The only thing is I with they had a detachable cord. I also like the Audio Technica ATH-M50's as well. |

I surely do but in my mind now i really am at a dillema because as you said the 25s are the best choice but they look like hobo headphones :P

| Candy Vardy 26.04.2012 | I had the Pioneer HDJ 2000's sold them, and bought a pair of custom Senn 25's. The Pio's are excellent headphones, but I didn't find them comfortable for me. So Far I'm loving the Senn's, they are amazing. I'd say try them both out if you can. It's all a matter personal preference. I say the Senn's. |

I had them next to a set of Senny 25s, running them of a dual output soundcard and A/B-ing them and there was very little difference soundwise or SPLwise. If I was to nitpick, the 25s were a little clearer on the mids, but it was VERY neglible. Heck.. I would have bought the 25s IF they were over ear, rather than on-ear, but they aren't, so I didn't. Seeing as the Reloops sounded very very close to the 25s, and I know how good the 25s are, I opted for the RHP-20s. I have no regrets - and I'm picky! Usually with other gear I have bought, I would have at least one entry in my buyer's remorse list after a month. So far nothing has put me off these headphones - I am loving them more now than when I bought them - doesn't usually happen like that for me Good isolation, detachable mini-XLR, cups that move backward and forward (i.e toward your eyes or neck), as comfy as silk pillows sitting on fluffy kittens (dead) sitting on a floating cloud and looks that I believe (IMHO) are the best out there - similar in looks to the overpriced Pio 2000's (don't tell me they are not overpriced... it's got those 7 letters emblazoned on them, and you always pay a markup for those letters !) Very happy with them, only possible issue is ruggedness/durability. You'll have to give me a year to test that one out. They do have metal in the hinges, but it appears that it is metal covered by plastic. That's my only worry, but only time will tell. They have already taken quite a few whacks though, mainly because when wearing them I forget that my head is now a few inches wider, so end up hitting them on train doors, speakers etc. That's my 2 sense (hearing & vision ). YMMV, but I doubt it. |
