Go to the NI site, login in on the upper right, it changes to my account, click that and select updates. What do you see?

I believe the point of this is that you set up your samples like you want in advance and save the group of samples with the edits so you don't have to do it on the fly. This is so much better than having to make a sample play list, load each one, change the parameters like you need, etc. Also what would be the point of small view if you add the advanced tab and make it bigger?

I am also very happy about the way samples can be played now. I have wanted them to retrigger and play out on one button since they came out with them. I found the S4 way of triggering with one button and retrigger with another before the sample ended was not intuitive at all.

Just wish the quantize would go to 1/8 and 1/16.

Uh I believe Paddy said with the S4 not the mouse, but good info if anyone missed it, they are tiny.

I wasn't planning on getting an F1, but I am seriously considering it now that I see what I would be missing. Damn you NI and your skillful marketing.

In case you didn't figure it out already, right clicking the colored loop or one shot symbol brings up the color selection chart for the sample.

Also under the S4 in preferences there is a legacy mode or remix mode for the hotcues, but it doesn't seem to change the behavior of the hotcues.

24.05.2012		My time codes work fine (MK2s). The only thing I notice is that "check consistency" takes substantially longer.

Edit: And my master level when using my S4 seems to be slightly higher. I changed it from -5 to -6 db on the software knob (6db of headroom in settings as always). Still see some orange on the software level meter with 3 EQed tracks playing.

There are very small up and down arrows that are supposed to change the tempo but when I click on them they do nothing. In order to get the sample to play at the right tempo you have to switch the view to full mode which will then give you the advance tab and will enable you to to toggle the advance tab on and off where you can see the actual tempo and can unclick the sync button which seems to default on. The problem here is you can only do this in full view. There should be an advance tab in small view so if you wanted to use the remix decks as they were before you could do that.

u can do it with the gain Knob and filter knob lol on decks C and D :P

first thing it says is to unplug traktor hardware before installing.....

24.05.2012		I love that decks for C and D can be set to full size!!!! Now I can see what my key knob is set on.

FYI the manual is updated to cover the remix decks.

24.05.2012		Any word on if we should change buffer settings at all. During my stress test I was using the 1/4 quantize function of the remix decks and got some glitchy audio.

24.05.2012		So far i've had 2 decks going, and a remix set with 16 samples loaded up with no glitches. Pretty surprised, I definitely plan to stress test this thing to the max before i'll play with it live.

23.05.2012		Just downloaded and installed the update, restarted comp, fired up Traktor 2.5 and my S2 is not communicating at all with it. Will update when I figure it out.

edit: Literally just had to unplug and plug back in the S2, lol, never had that happen

23.05.2012		I'm honestly going to be surprised if remix decks with 64 samples load up without any hitch. I won't be surprised if we get a 2.5.1 hot fix very soon.

Doesn't even show my serial number or anything just blank.

I open traktor go to service center, says my s2 is activated. Traktor 2 is activated.

And then all my products are up to date.

Go back to www.nativeinstruments.com and still nothing.

23.05.2012		Downloading but will wait to install until I hear about "ANY" horror stories or glitches. Got some gigs coming up and everything is working fine. Can anybody tell me if this upgrade creates a new Tractor 2.5 separate from Traktor 2 or is it a patch to Traktor 2?

follow this link that photojojo posted, there should be a download link beside Traktor. It doesn't outright say it but when the download starts you'll see it's 2.5

it's not in service center you need to go to the NI site and log in
