nayit ruiz jaramillo 24.10.2013 | You also need to have the latest version of Controller Editor installed (CE 1.6.0). I do not believe it came with the latest Traktor so check that. |
Janella Gripe 24.10.2013 | Traktor runs fine on my "mid 12 macbook pro", although Traktor won't recognize my X1 mk1. And yes, I installed the driver already :'( |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 24.10.2013 | Padi posted it on the DJTT Facebook chat group but I didn't see it on the community
. https://www.facebook.com/groups/djttchatroom/ |
Delena Katherman 24.10.2013 | Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the DJTT MIDI Fighter Utility doesn't work on Mavericks yet. |

Not as much of a visual change as i was expecting but nevermind. So, downloaded the x1 driver, launched traktor, all works fine, everything is still the same as works the same, so far. Launched Maschine, everything is cool, except it seems that my macbook has forgotten where to go when i choose 'open', it normally takes me straight to either the 'projects' or 'groups' folders depending on what i have open, now it just starts me off in documents, and i have to go docs > NI > maschine. Hopefully it'll update soon. Logic Pro 9 opened fine, scanned all of my plugins, only 8 were in-compatible, 8 that i dont even use, so thats cool. I'll list the plugins below for anyone who might want to know. ------------------------------------------------ Arturia - Spark EDM Arturia - Modular V effect Korg Monypoly Sonnox (AU Native) - Oxford DeNoiser Sonnox (AU Native) - Oxford DeBuzzer Sonnox (AU Native) - Oxford Dynamics Sonnox (AU Native) - Oxfrd EQ + Filters Soundtoys - Speed ------------------------------------------------ One thing with Logic Pro 9, since upgrading to Mavericks, it crashed halfway through my, so far track, said 'system overload', i cant remember what else it said, but its never, ever happened before, only on an old Mac G5 ppc I had ages ago running logic pro 8, im hoping its just a little newborn mavericks upgrade hiccup, time will tell. Ableton Live 8 opened fine, although ableton have posted saying that 8.4.1. will not run perfectly on mavericks yet, 8.4.2 is live as beta atm. I tried running my full current set up all together, Traktor Scratch Pro II, and Ableton Live 8 running Maschine as a plugin. Didn't work very nice at all. Only the Maschine/Ableton side anyway, i believe.. I have a PSP 42 delay plugin, that i use over my Maschine plugin, in ableton, the plugin preset and midi mapping seems to deleted, this happened before anyway at times, but as well as that, there were some (i believe this is called "latency") problems where i would put maschine in step mode, and drop hi-hats in, in time with my track playing in traktor, as normal, but for the first bar it was okay, then the hats would double up,so it sounded rough, and out of time by some ms. If i de-selected the hats, they would still play for another 1 or 2 bars. Even if i wasnt in Maschine's step mode, like i just pressed a pad to trigger a sound, i used a clap, the clap would sound, and then it would sound again 1 bar later.... sometimes twice... Any idea what this problem is? never had it before, only now since update... it's un-useable like this, and it's my full set up so would like to get it working again nicely soon.. Cheers. Any one else wants me to test anything, just give me shout. Thanks, Karlos, for the Kontrol X1 driver update. (my track pad has become inverted since upgrading to mavericks too, ugh, how do i change this, me no like!) |

Temple Cervelli 24.10.2013 | Hm, I have some on, believe I have 'put hard drive to sleep when possible', when power cable is connected, and sleep is set to something like 15/20 mins. Is this a bad idea? I've got about a minute left to go with mavericks. So will update you shortly dude! |

On Macbook Air's and Retina MacBooks the power key is not a recessed key - its right on the keyboard instead of eject making it really really easy to hit by mistake when backspacing. Consider this - mid set you are searching for a track, you hit backspace (so you believe) to clear the search field and you lose all sound. Audio apps are not the only ones where this could be a problem either - e.g. I do alot of website scanning which can take hours running in the background - its a fragile application at best, if I miskey while doing other tasks at the same time I risk potentially losing hours of work. It would make more sense to have click for 3 seconds as sleep, and click once for dialogue menu. |
Evie Baghdasarian 24.10.2013 | thanks padi |
Nedra Fresneda 24.10.2013 | Hold down the power button 3 secs if you want the old restart/sleep/shutdown menu back. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 24.10.2013 | I have ALL energy saving features off all of the time anyway. I never have a screen saver or sleep mode enabled simply because time after time Apple screw these features up and they result in audio issues. Sleep mode has caused issues with audio cards not working when woken up in a number of OSX updates. |

The only issue I have with Mavericks is the new power button functionality. On my air, accidentally hit it instead of backspace and the computer goes to sleep, cutting out the audio. I want its old functionality back! Haven't found any fixes online yet.
*edit* This is a HUGE having installed on my GF's Air and planning on getting a retina shortly. I've created a petition here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/m...functionality/ In good news though - Safari's inspector shows colors as Hex again! |

Temple Cervelli 23.10.2013 | Okay cheers for the heads up, although tis is just happening.. Screen shot 2013-10-23 at 23.36.13.png It's just sat like this for the last half hour or so.. There's no 'percentage' status or anything, as there usually is when downloading something, is this supposed to happen? EDIT: Okay, it wasn't until I opened up the image i attached until i noticed that little bar with the little blue bit underneath the (X) icon, I'm guessing this is the progress bar yes? |
