DJTT Progressive Mix Train #2 Posted on: 17.09.2010 by Latoria Kavulich Hi Guys. Here's your chance to get in on the second DJTT Progressive Mix Train!I thought seeing as there were a few keen on the first one (which isn't quite ready yet) but missed out unfortunately this would be a good opportunity for y'all to show the community your stuff. This time i believe we should go with 6 slots of 20 minutes each and a mix of experienced guys and some up and comers to make up the full two hours. If you are keen, reply to this post and we'll set it up on a first in, first served basis. (And i believe all involved in the first one should exclude themselves) Remember this is for progressive house, if thats not you then sorry. Once we have 6 Slots filled we'll set the groundrules and get this show on the road! | Berta Baie 03.03.2011 | ah yes it sounded like an Ableton problem. Make sure when you imported the 2 mixes they werent warped on "beats" which is the default setting. What that does is inserts little silences into the track to make up for timing issues between the original songs and the tempo you are working with. Use re-pitch, which acts like a turntable, or complex pro (something like that, i dont have that option cuz im using Live Lite) and re-record it, either will solve the quality issue. |
| Kristofer Krauel 03.03.2011 | I used Traktor and mixed straight into the existing file but then when it came to sticking them together I had no idea how to do it (I only play music I am a complete idiot when it comes to the technicalities) so I used Ableton to record it all to one file. Could that be the problem? I still have the original files though so if you let me know what I need to do ill sort it out toevening

| Berta Baie 03.03.2011 | im listening to it now on my phone and getting a bunch of pops/clicks/stutters in the mix sometimes. Can anyone else confirm that? What program are you using? Your mix is great tho, in fact everyones is. This mix turned out awesome all round. Kudos to all! |

| Berta Baie 30.12.2010 | well if you're using Ableton, and you have your warp mode set on "Beats" what it does is it inserts little silences into the track to compensate for lower BMP settings and thus effectively stretches out the track to make up for the slower timing. Those silences then sound like stutters or breaks in the song which obviously is not good. |
