  • 30 minutes max If you go over I'll give you the option of cutting the end or the beginning.
  • Full track list required.
  • PM a link to download your mix and tell me what category you want to be in. I will not pass judgment if I believe your techno mix is trance or vice-versa. It's up to you to know what you're playing.
  • I will not make any volume or EQ adjustments to your mix. It's up to you to make those before you send it to me.
  • All mixes must be done live in one take.
  • Each category must have at least two entrants. You do not automatically win if you have the only polkacore mix
  • No identifying which mix is yours in any way. If you're found to do this your mix will be pulled. If you send me a Soundcloud link make sure it's private and you send me the private link. Keep it private until the contest is over.
  • You have until Midevening CST September 8th. Voting will end on September 30th at 10:00 PM CST. It's up to you to figure out what time that is in your time zone. Anything the community s says was sent after that time will not be included

90% of what I play house wise is under 125. I've just added prog and electro to the genres and will whittle down the genres when I actually get some mixes.

No, I believe that's not a good idea

Many Dj's categorise themselves as Deep/Tech house, and then you can have a general
House genre.

i actually play quite a lot of deep house under 125 bpms...even down to 118 bpms.

i believe it was better the original way and just add prog and electro to make 4 house genres plus a general catch all for house. if you don't get enough entries for a couple, you could consolidate as needed (ie prog and electro). i don't believe putting bpm categories would work since you could easily have a set that goes from 124 to 127 bpms or vice versa...where would you put it then?

Personally, I believe a House category to include different varieties plus a Deep/Tech house category

Sometimes I start at 124 bpm and work up to 128-129

I don't imagine there would be many playing much under 125 bpm???

dubstep/drum and bass? That's like having an Austrian/Australian Olympic team. there's also a 30+ bpm difference.

I love you like a brother I've never met but that's kind of f***ed up n'est-ce pas?

Me too.

However, I will be having a combo of House, Deep house, Tech House. Does that mean it should be in the 'Open' category

Maybe just the House cat, then???

Just had a look then.

So you have to click broadcast? There's nothing that keeps a record of everything you play and the timestamps/transitions? Or is there? Don't really want to be broadcasting even if it is to nothing.
