2012 DJTT forum mix competition

  • 30 minutes max If you go over I'll give you the option of cutting the end or the beginning.
  • Full track list required.
  • PM a link to download your mix and tell me what category you want to be in. I will not pass judgment if I believe your techno mix is trance or vice-versa. It's up to you to know what you're playing.
  • I will not make any volume or EQ adjustments to your mix. It's up to you to make those before you send it to me.
  • All mixes must be done live in one take.
  • Each category must have at least two entrants. You do not automatically win if you have the only polkacore mix
  • No identifying which mix is yours in any way. If you're found to do this your mix will be pulled. If you send me a Soundcloud link make sure it's private and you send me the private link. Keep it private until the contest is over.
  • You have until Midevening CST September 8th. Voting will end on September 30th at 10:00 PM CST. It's up to you to figure out what time that is in your time zone. Anything the community s says was sent after that time will not be included

I have one house mix left to go up, but mixcloud is having technical issues so I'm holding all the house mixes until I can get that last one uploaded. All of the mixes are sticky threads in general discussion and polls will close 10:00 pm CST September 30th, that's 4:00 am October 1st UK time.

Common sense would be to follow the rules and press stop at 30 minutes. Or to trim the mix before sending it in. I've got a couple other people who went a few seconds over so if it's under a minute over go ahead a send me the link.

Breaks and hip hop are now combined.

If you upload it to Soundcloud, or similar, (max quality 320kbps mp3) you must make it 'private' and then pm photojojo the secret link so he can download it, and you must tell him what genre you want, and provide full track listing.

08.09.2012		As it stands now I've just scanned through the mixes, but we could combine house and electrohouse into one category and hip hop and breaks in the same category? The open mix may be fit in with the house and electrohouse.

08.09.2012		Extending it wouldn't be fair to those that got their stuff done in time. Meeting deadlines, even in the DJ/music/production world, is an important part of being successful.

Everybody has until midievening toevening to get submitted. Polls will be put up Sunday. Anything that doesn't have at least two mixes will be put together in open, if you don't want your mix in open let me know and I won;t post it. Remember this si just for fun and there are no prizes.

I believe that's ok, just as long as the mixes were true to that genre, whereas multiple mixes within a single genre smacks a bit of trying to increase your chances of winning, although I could appreciate that it could be due to indecision, etc

yes. i believe in the thread that started this comp, it was stated that you can have 1 mix in each genre.
