2012 DJTT forum mix competition

  • 30 minutes max If you go over I'll give you the option of cutting the end or the beginning.
  • Full track list required.
  • PM a link to download your mix and tell me what category you want to be in. I will not pass judgment if I believe your techno mix is trance or vice-versa. It's up to you to know what you're playing.
  • I will not make any volume or EQ adjustments to your mix. It's up to you to make those before you send it to me.
  • All mixes must be done live in one take.
  • Each category must have at least two entrants. You do not automatically win if you have the only polkacore mix
  • No identifying which mix is yours in any way. If you're found to do this your mix will be pulled. If you send me a Soundcloud link make sure it's private and you send me the private link. Keep it private until the contest is over.
  • You have until Midevening CST September 8th. Voting will end on September 30th at 10:00 PM CST. It's up to you to figure out what time that is in your time zone. Anything the community s says was sent after that time will not be included

If peeps are going to enter they better hurry up. Isnt the deadline tomorrow?

You wouldn't really be doing yourself a favor, because you might just be watering down the voting for your own mixes. Remember, you are anonymous to the voters.

Enter the one mix you believe is best and you'll get the best voting results (if it is liked of course).

I believe Utah is the state with an 8 wife rule. In Texas they only allow 2, but one has to be a horse.

06.09.2012		I would say if a few genres only have one entry then put them together for voting. I know the genre seperation was to help eliminate genre bias, but it would be better to get a shot at it than no chance at all. Also there could be (probably will be) a lot of last minute entries, so Photojojo wouldn't know if a genre only has one entry untill it would be too late.

05.09.2012		Do all the genre categories have entries? It may be an idea to list numbers of each, if no one has entered a hip hop mix for example then joe blogged who's going to record one especially is going to be wasting his time

electro house / top 40 / progressive needs it's own party...

then seperate house into two categories with BPMs...

28.08.2012		Twitter.DJ exports the history as an xml file. You can also copy and paste the history directly in the window before you close the app. Traktor also stores every song you ever played in history and will export your history as a webpage with no other software needed if that's all your after. I could care less when I mixed a song into another song because I'm probably not ever going to do it the same way again.

I understand that but these two programs are for different uses. Twitter.dj is great for live broadcasting and Spun is great for private recordings where you want to distribute a track listing after the fact.

you ahve to copy and paste from twitter, but it was designed for live use so your fans will know what tracks you are playing

Why not leave the category up to the dj - then group them together after closing date.
If you have any mixes that don't fit a category, get in touch with whoever did it to move to another of their choice..
