Numark Mixtrack/Pro map (TSI)

Hey what's everyone!

I've been working on this 4 Deck, 4 FX Units, plus [Shift] layer map for a few days now and I do believe it is finally finished and working great. I posted it over at TraktorFreaks in the controller mappings section.

Try it out, let me know what you believe.

Cheers,

Don't get too attached to it. I just finished up my Advanced Traktor map last evening . I'm gonna give it a test drive this weekend, and once I'm happy with it, I'll get a full demo video made and uploaded it.

It's all good man. I'm trying to get it wrapped up this week. Every evening I play around with the layout adjustments I made during the day. I'm getting closer each evening to a map that still making sense after an evening of playing and a few ounces of bourbon. lol

I've got the buttons setup to control Auto loop Set, Loop In, Loop Out, Loop Active, and the encoders above the buttons are used for selecting Loop size, Move size and Move mode. The 2 pitch-bend buttons are mapped for the moving of the loop/beat Inc/Dec. Because I have so many functions mapped to these buttons and encoders, everything is off by default. want to play with FX, turn on the FX page. Want to play with Loops, turn of FX page and turn on Loops page. Same thing goes for playing with the Hotcues.

I believe I'm gonna have to make a video tutorial on how this map is layed out once I'm done. It's pretty complex, but very user-friendly.

After playing with a few different setups and layouts the past few evening s, I believe that is exactly the route I'm gonna go with this. Just make one Universal Advanced map.

Here's a short list of what I've updated.

3 pages of control per deck. FX, Loop and Hotcue plus [Shift] layer per page.

FX Page
- 1 Adv FX Unit + 1 Filter per side
- FX Unit parameter adjustments
- Deck assignments

Loop Page
- Beatjump , Mode & Size
- Loop Manual/Auto, Size
- Beatgrid adjustments [Shift] layer

Hotcue Page
- All 8 Hotcues
- Cue Type, Delete
- Beatgrid adjustments [Shift] layer

There is still one Modifier left for a Global shift layer, or to enable the scratch function. More on that later though, it's playtime.

The keylock button is setup for selecting which FX Unit you are going to assign to a Deck. For example, on the left side of the controller, with the keylock button in its default state, LED OFF, the loop buttons have been programed to assign FX Unit 1 to Deck A, B, C, or D.(Just A & B in the 2 Deck map) With the button pressed and the LED on, the loops buttons are used to assign FX Unit 3 to Deck A, B, C or D. The same goes for the keylock on the right side of the controller, except you are assigning FX Unit 2 or 4 depending on the status of the keylock button.

If you want to cycle through the effects possible for FX Unit 1 & 2, the encoder with detents labeled "Select" will allow you to scroll through the list of available effects.

It is not clear to me how tou use effects in chained mode.could you help me?
In chained mode, the 3 available slots for effects are setup in a serial fashion. Effect slot 1 feeds into slot 2 which in turn feeds slot 3. The effect you put in any given slot just depends on what effects you like to play with. Experimentation is the key.

To be honest, I didn't setup the mapping to fully take advantage of the FX Units in chained mode. Need more knobs for that. The reason I went with chained mode is it was simpler to get the Filter:92 to do what I wanted in chained mode with the unused pitch faders.

Hope some of this helps, if not hit me up, glad to help.

Shouldn't be too difficult to set up one map for controlling C & D. I believe you can change all the deck assignment parameters without having to build a map from scratch for decks C & D. Not in front of my Traktor rig at the moment so I'll get back to you on that.

Shouldn't be a problem. With a 2 Deck configuration, I can add the scratch functionality back in as well.

Give me a few days to make the proper adjustments.
