Numark Mixtrack/Pro map (TSI)

Hey what's everyone!

I've been working on this 4 Deck, 4 FX Units, plus [Shift] layer map for a few days now and I do believe it is finally finished and working great. I posted it over at TraktorFreaks in the controller mappings section.

Try it out, let me know what you believe.

Cheers,

That should give you tempo bend with Scratch On or Off.

I did this too and everything works perfectly apart from one thing.

Before if scratch was engaged and i put my finger on the upper part of the jog wheel, the track would stop until i removed my finger. Now that i have changed the settings to the above, when i place my finger on the top the track only stops for a split second before continuing. Even when my finger is still there. The only way i can keep the track stopped is if i keep moving the jog wheel slightly.

I know it is only a very small problem but i would love the track to stop for as long as my finger is on the jog wheel, its just something i have gotten used to.

If anyone knows how i can get this to work it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Ah okay I tried that and for some reason I don't have it. Do you happen to have the default setting?

It's more of a limitation of the controller manager. There isn't a way to automate the LED on/OFF within the program. From the controller standpoint, it should be fairly easy to make them blink, but that would be some sort of hardware mod. The controller manager software is pretty limited in what it can do.

it's so crazy, it is a basic function !! no ???? can I ask this question on numark support ? You can configure a lot of function but it 's not possible to do basic function !?? A smaler controler can do this ! ....
can you call the numark support ?
Porter Jacquet

Nope. No luck with the blinking LEDs. I just don't believe this controller can do it.

project :
after "LOAD A" button , do a flashing led to "PLAYA" button
-> after press flashing "PLAYA", the track is played,
- the "PLAYA" led button can be fixe on ;
- the "Cue" led button can be fixe on;
- the "sync" led button can be fixe on when 2 files can be synchronise ...

after "LOAD B" button , do a flashing led to "PLAYB" button,
... idem that deck A

thanks for your feedback

I've been trying to figure out the flashing LED for a while. I don't believe it's possible with this controller. The cue button LED I can look into this weekend.

Thanks, it is working but it is the same lighting than traktor default mapping.
For example,
- I would like to know if it is possible to flashing the play button just after you load a track.
- and when your file is played, the cue button can be "on" ... to say it is possible to stop music ...

Is that the lights can light up more often?

The map linked in the OP is for an old version of Traktor Pro.

Try this one. It's for the most current version.

If you have any problems, just hit me up.

ONE little problem! When I switch the Scratch button on it lets me scratch when i touch the inside of the jog wheels. But the outside rim does nothing. To nudge you have to switch scratch off. Then the inside and outside rim both act as nudge.

Do you know how to make the outside rims nudge when scratch is on?

Open the Controller Manager and look for the "Jog Scratch + Tempo Bend" entries.

Select the entry for Deck A and click duplicate. Do the same for Deck B.

Make sure the settings are the same for both entries for each Deck. Then change the Modifier value in the duplicated entry to "M4=1" for condition 1 on Deck A, and change to "M7=1" for the Deck B duplicated entry.

Sure.

1) Depending on the OS you are using (Win7 for me), there should be a folder in your Documents folder labeled, Native Instruments. Inside there is a folder labeled Traktor 2.0.3. Put the .TSI file inside the settings folder within the Traktor folder, which is where Traktor will look by default when importing the map.

2) Start Traktor and open the Preferences panel. At the bottom of that panel you will see an option for "Import". Once you click on that, a window will open showing you the folder where you placed the .TSI file in step 1. Click on the file you want to import and select "Open".

3) You are next given a check-list of categories for import where the only option is already selected, Controller Mappings. Click "OK".

The map should now be imported. You can go to the Controller Manager to verify, or close the Preferences panel and start playing to make sure it works.

can you walk me trew the correct way to import it because the map isnt working
Porter Jacquet

I believe the default you are referring to has something to do with the controller manager opening and closing. I have the same issues when working on the maps. As long as you imported the map correctly it should still work.

Yep. Open the controller manager and look for the entries "Monitor Volume" and "Monitor Mix" and swap the "Mapped to" entries as follows:

Change Monitor Volume to Ch01.CC.023
Change Monitor Mix to Ch01.CC.012

This will swap the Monitor Mix back to the knob, and put the Monitor volume on the center fader.

Yep. I had it finished about a month ago, but to be honest, once it was finished, it wasn't much fun to play with. Too much switching between layers to get to stuff. So I scrapped it, and started over. This current one(v2.0) is finished, and a lot of fun to play with.

Rather than constatly switching between layers to access the decks, like in my old 4 Deck Adv map, the main two track decks are almost always available to some degree, which leaves them available even when plaing with the sample decks.

I've also added a bunch of stuff that hasn't been in any of the other maps.

I'm almost done with the documentation. As soon as that is finished, I will definitely be uploading to TraktorFreaks.

Thanks for your interest.

Ok, so I wasn't able to borrow a video camera over the weekend to shoot a video demo today, so I made a quick-reference .pdf included in the archive download. At some point this week I'll get a video demo made, until then, check out the updated map. The link in the first post had been updated, but apparently I can't edit that post, so here is another link to my latest 4 Deck Advanced map.

UPDATE:
I now have a video camera, so I'll get a video demo done soon.

I just got a mixtrack pro and started messing with the mappings. I'm finding lots of good mapping out there so probably no reason to do that except to learn how in case i want to make my own.

Here is a pic of what the labels look like that I'm using.

Each of the four blacked-out buttons up top are used for turning the various pages of control ON/OFF for the 5 buttons and 3 knobs below.

It kinda looks confusing, but once I finish up the .pdf and make a demo video, it will be pretty easy to navigate the controls. I also have an Excel file with all the controller entries I'm going to add to the download. It will make it a lot easier for someone to take what I've done and make their own changes to it. Without it, those 400+ entries in the Controller Manager would have had me going in circles.

I spent most of the time trying to get a good layout where i wasn't accidentally grabbing the wrong knob or pushing the wrong button at the wrong moment. So either I got used to this final layout, or I actually did come up with something pretty intuitive to use.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. lol

Can't wait for the advanced mapping! Do you have labels on your controller corresponding to your mapping by any chance? I might need to make myself some to familiarize myself with the mapping but if you make a video that will help a lot.
