Custom DIY midi controller based on the Behringer BCR2000 Posted on: 04.08.2010 by Arcelia Siebeneck The midi controller I have in mind has over 40 potentiometers so the BCR2000 caught my eye as the 'brains' behind the whole thing. Anyone ever hacked one of these things apart? What about the LED lightrings? Are they controlled by the firmware or are they just midi-activated lights? I probably don't want to use them for most of the controls -only effects and controls which are shared between each deck.thoughts? | |

| Arcelia Siebeneck 04.08.2010 | yes - I'm way behind you matey... still at the planning stage really. my plan is to build a case with the XP10's and a 4 channel mixer, like the 4midiloop (http://futuremusic.com/news/images/4MIDILoop.jpg) but I need a good brain to base it off first! looks like the pot32 is my best option... the company that makes them emailed me back to say they're working on encoder support but doesn't work at the moment. how's your mod coming along? the recent pics look sick! almost finished? |

One of the best things about that site, is the guy who runs it is really cool, and he'll really help you with any problems you may have. But if you go that route, it's going to be a lot more expensive than a used BCR. |
