no rocket science, just made a big tank out of two small tanks. they're connected internally (4 small screws, 2 fat ones) and externally (bottom steel plate), seamless and sturdy as hell. at the moment each unit runs off a separate power supply and they're connected via a passive usb hub (no better solution for that I guess), but it works - and I'm currently digging through the awesome possibilities within maxforlive and looks like I'll be getting a one-off faceplate from djs face

well, it's a controller with buttons, knobs and faders. there's nothing you can do with it that you couldn't do with a cheap-ass korg piece of plastic. the clip matrix is awesome because it lets you know where you are in your set (well, kinda - because if your 16 tracks are full of clips you still have to look at the screen), but in the end I'm just triggering and tweaking stuff just like any other guy. the rocket science is not in the controller, it just looks badass

Yeah that sounds really hot - I bet those controllers will really take off. It would be especially cool if it had some kind of mechanical interface with the platter so you could just move a sort of joystick, an "arm" if you will, and place it in different spots on the track.

haha midi can control everything if you have the script knowledge to control it But it isn't as versatile as the osc messages that platforms such as the Monome sends.

you should give it a matte paint finish, it'd look so cool in matte black or white.

im believeing of getting an apc40 pretty soon and after looking at this i might pick up the 20 later in the year and do a mod similar to this. good job bro!

seriously badass. Nice work! You might want to swap that crossfader out though, with this setup I imagine it'll be getting a lot more use...

Love it - this is the coolest mod I've ever seen. You could have 2 instances of MLR running on 2 separate Ableton live tracks! How awesome would that be?

My god - using this like 2 TTs would be awesome. 2 instances of MLR would be absolutely amazing...
