Custom VCI-100 (Editable) Overlay File: Illustrator
Custom VCI-100 (Editable) Overlay File: Illustrator Posted on: 05.03.2010 by Kristina Juhnke I am excited that I will be soon getting a VCI-100. I want to customize mine including the plates but I wanted the layout to match DJ TechTools custom TSI for v3 so I searched high and low for a overlay and I finally stumbled upon a file from Native Instruments community
of a VCI-100 basic overlay but had no editable features. I just spent about 3 hours remaking one from scratch including some parts of that old file that I found. Font is a custom font I liked but anyone can add or remove what they like. Below is a .png tell me if you like it and Ill upload the illustrator file. Im either planning to have a friend vinyl cut this or i was believeing about using my clear sticky paper and applying on the plates, then use xacto knife to make the holes. Then if a new tsi comes out i just peel and change what i want later on. P.S. If you dont have Adobe Illustrator and would like a custom .png give me a pm or post. Thanks [UPDATE] Added .pdf as the .png wasn't going full size for some reason. | |

Raymundo Honeman 20.02.2011 | The dimensions for both overlays in length and width are 16' 1/16 x 9' 15/16. The button holes are 1 inch in diameter and the holes are about 1/16' apart from eachother. |
Eliana Dewald 19.02.2011 | can anyone tell me the dimensions of the normal and the arcade overlay? that would be very nice thanks |
Raymundo Honeman 07.03.2010 | Cool do you believe you could make a white overlay arcade edition with stickers. What material do they use for the overlay on djtt? That would be cool. Could you give me the dimensions of the overlay cuz I can cut it out. Let me know when you make the overlay arcade edition. Thanks again man. |
Kristina Juhnke 06.03.2010 | yeah I will upload it um for the arcade buttons idk unless your metal plates were cut too i would say yes it would work. What Im planning on is to paint my plates a base color black and use clear sticker paper or i might have a friend use a vinyl and have a vinyl cutter cut out the overlay. I wanted to customize the vci but also make it possible to be removed and replaced with a new layout when an updated map comes out. Wouldnt let me upload in manage attachments so i put it on MU http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SKX98CQK |
Raymundo Honeman 05.03.2010 | Hey this is pretty dope man. Could you upload the illustrator file? What material are you going to use for the overlay? A white one with black wheels and arcade buttons would be sick!!! |
