TouchOSC For Android!!!
TouchOSC For Android!!! Posted on: 08.12.2010 by Clay Lorow Its out.Its free. Its beautiful. http://hexler.net/software/touchosc-android Its just that I don't know how to set it up...did what it says in guide but no luck. I suppose the flaw is in "make sure both devices are connected to the same network". Is it simply needed to connect notebook and phone to same router or am I missing something?!?!??! | |

Milda Poucher 23.10.2011 | Can't get this working correctly on my Touchpad, OSX 10.7.2 and with a BTHomehub v2. |
Marva Cupid 21.10.2011 | Mine works shit, the latency is rediculus, it responds like 1.5sec later. Crap. It might be different with Mac though, I'm using galaxy tab 10.1, pc and pure data |

Marva Cupid 21.10.2011 | You should get one anyway, they are so nice and smooth. Something that most android devices arent very good at. I personally love my galaxy tab 10.1". It is a tank and goes with me everywhere. |
Chasidy Heckenbach 21.10.2011 | nice can't wait for feedback from people who try it. this will probably make me finally pick up an android tablet |
Marva Cupid 21.10.2011 | Finally gonna set it up on my galaxy tab in the morning |
Eli Hergonz 21.10.2011 | 1.2 OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUTTTTTTT now with MULTITOUCH and SCALING.... |
Eli Hergonz 14.08.2011 | for android users: now they can download TouchOSC, with this layout, from my blog |

Chasidy Heckenbach 03.08.2011 | seems to be a few apps on the android market - i hadn't thought to look there don't have any android device atm anyway tho. anyone know if any of these are usuable? all i'd be looking for is something i could customise to put some faders where i wanted, a bunch of buttons, maybe an XY pad and be able to have midi feedback ofc. |
Eli Hergonz 03.08.2011 | it has huge lag on my android i5700. So its not usable for me. |
Reece Murray 03.08.2011 | Guys, look in the market for an app called "Control". Its new and well supported. Android osc lives on!! |
Annalisa Shogren 03.08.2011 | He said he would probably rarely update it anyway. Wank off. |

Eli Hergonz 04.08.2011 | and about 30bucks that I already donate |

Chasidy Heckenbach 03.08.2011 | does he charge for it yet? if not then it's tricky to be "pissed off" with something that a developer is giving away for free. i'd buy a copy from him (and then an android tablet) if he sold a version for android that had multi touch - else i dont really see the use in it. |
Eli Hergonz 03.08.2011 | I am sick of hexlers ignoring andoroid version. I patiently waited for 6 months to release full andorid version. So here is HOW TO PUT YOUR LAYOUT: -download this http://www.multiupload.com/GXW01G6URJ -place TOUCHOSC apk here "place-apk-here-for-modding" -double click Script.bat -chose 1 -now extract with winrara your TOUCHOSC layout and copy index.xml file -go to apk_manager_4.9/project/touchosc folder and paste index.xml to assets/Beatmachine.touchosc -now go to script.bat window and chose 5 basically you need to zip it and sign it again(I believe number 5 should do it), havent done this for 6 months. -I believe your signed apk is here "apk_manager_4.9/place-apk-here-for-modding" |
Breanna Kohlhase 03.08.2011 | extremely interested in the android tsi stuff. although functionality for android sucks bawls. and hexler is kinda being tricky with releasing the source code and such so the users have been trying to develop it in the hexler community s. I'm working on being able to import .touchosc files to android devices. it's a bitch. Ah well such is life. still crappy on tablets. still no multitouch. maybe in the next couple of months... |
Eli Hergonz 11.01.2011 | my layout for Android. Test it toevening
at gig and it felt sooo good. http://androidosc.blogspot.com/ |
Rebbecca Cornelsen 14.12.2010 | I got an 7" Android tablet which I'll have to try this out. Probably gonna work like shit with my resistive touch screen. I don't believe my Motorola Flipout and it's 3" screen is big enough to be much use. |
Lewis Stumpf 14.12.2010 | Hey. Just gave this a spin on my Desire. It was a bit of a pain to set up under windows (with PD extended and a midi link), but I got it to work! For those in question: 1. Download the app from the market 2. Download Pure Data Extended (scroll down to the Windows link) 3. Download a sample patch to go along with the desired TouchOSC layout from the Hextler site (again, scroll down to the windows section, and find the patch for the layout you are using) 4. Install Midiyoke, LoopBe, or some other virtual midi cable. Now. 5. Load up the app on the android, load up the desired patch in PD extended. 6. Under config in the app, there's a section that says Hostname / IP. Give it the local ip address for your windows machine, this can be found by opening the command line and typing Ipconfig /all. 7. The port should be good, but if not, it's usually 8000 8. In PD extended, under media, midi settings, select the virtual midi cable for input and output. Now you should have a PD Extended patch that responds to your phones input, and a midi cable running to whatever application you wish (Traktor, Live, etc). Hope this helps |
Matha Obray 14.12.2010 | Member u can do this for android tablets too...right? I can never get touchosc to run right..with my droid or my ipod. I map a couple buttons press play..and the music starts then starts cutting in and out and wont stop. |
Random X 14.12.2010 | HTC Desire looks awesome, still have to configure it though! |
Annalisa Shogren 14.12.2010 | You can't add layouts yet I don't believe which is fairly annoying... |
Irwin Ney 14.12.2010 | It would be nice a DJ review comparison between all droid pads. |
Clay Lorow 14.12.2010 | Well set it up. Use wizard in connectify, give it a name, password and what is else required. Start server. Next, on your phone connect to that virtual hotspot as to any other wifi router or so. Finaly, in TouchOSC on phone, enter IP adress of that virtual hotspot in setings>Network. You can see that IP by pointing with your mouse on connectify icon in taskbar for few sec. Also PD-Extended won't start picking unless you start PD Midi patch and DON'T CLOSE THAT WINDOW WHEN IS OPENED! Here is link to one, rest of them are on TouchOSC site. http://hexler.net/mint/pepper/ordere...simple-midi.pd |
