Got some today to add to my unit, I'm pretty impressed (first impression of course, we'll see with the test of time) with the feel and overall quality. Good job DJTT.
I got some pinky/violet ones and some white ones. Just a little regret those aren't exactly white but a very light grey (but as that was mentioned on the site , that's not a disappointment really I knew what to expect).

Did you get the value pack for the s4? Aren't the encoder knobs included? How many knobs come with that values pack.

I am not sure if anyone remembers the old knobs, but the black lines kept falling off and left us with an ENCODER!!! however, I havent gotten the new knobs yet, but does anyone know if we can take the black line off in order to make an encoder?

new knobs really rule by the way
looks fantastic !

Anyone know if the faders fit on the Rane Empath?

I know it says they don't fit on the TTM57 so I presume they won't fit on the Empath either but just figured I'd ask!

The colour scheme I can see in my head on the S4 is all blue apart from 4 fat filter yellow ones and yellow ones for the dry/wet effect ones

One thing to note however if you have a VCI-100mkII or either 300 series: As it says on the compatibility chart, the knobs bottom out on the mixer meaning you need to put 3mm of material in there so that the knobs don't end up doing so. I cut tiny squares of cardboard from the back of a sketch book and put two in each knob...

If you are impatient like I was to see how they look and feel before putting the cardboard in, just be advised that they are a bitch to get on and then off again. I used pliers to pull them off and as they are very soft rubber I damaged one of them. Thankfully I ordered an extra one so all good
Ya.. I noticed this too on the twitch about getting the knobs off.. Had to do the same thing with pliers and throw the knob out.

its too bad these knobs are not 2 piece and cannot be reversed to correctly line up on pioneer-denon, like the old ones

I was asking Zach about some UK shipping issues and mentioned to him about configuring the knobs like you do on the midi fighter screen, anyway he got back to me yesterday...

"Hey Jason,

That's what we are trying to do down the road. Those interfaces take a decent amount of work and we are in between web developers right now, so we just wanted to make it simple for people. Thank you for the feedback though!"

So looks like they're working on it, be a great option to have

Definitely worth it! They have a great feel to them. Fit great on the VCI. Tried them on the MPKmini but stopped after it felt like the (cheap plastic)shaft was going to snap.Akai didn't anticipate high quality knobs to replace the garbage from factory. Good job DJTT! Fast shipping too

Update to my little review:

- db4 - the channel faders are not a good fit for db4 but the x-fader is. the channel faders stems of db4 must be slightly lower than the x-fader stem. with djtt fader caps, the channel faders are just too close to the surface of the db4. I tried to prop them up with a piece of cardboard but then they rock up and down if u slide them too hard. So its not a good fit for the channel faders. But the x-fader is a nice upgrade and fits well. I dont experience the same rocking motion that I see on the channel faders.

Im sure somebody could cleverly modify the caps to fit the channel faders but the db4 stock fader caps are not that bad. They just feel a little flimsy.

Or can someone list how many of what size I'll need, I'm believeing 4 fat and 8 normal?

I posted this in another thread already but the answer is yes they fit tightly on the LPD8 pot shaft. With the extra height of the new knobs most of my pots have a slight wobble to them though (it's not the knob being loose on the shaft it's the pot itself that's a little loose). The new knobs are also pretty chunky so they will cut down on the already small amount of finger room unless you don't have sausage fingers like myself.
