Jeannine Drobney 14.08.2012 | what a gorgeous finished result. Tech schwing! |
Ira Alsadi 14.08.2012 | Thanks! Patience is key with this build. Keep us posted I would love to someone else do this. I have been playing on them a bunch lately. One issue I had at first was the Dicers not staying flush with the deck causing the Dicer to switch modes when I hit the big buttons. Had to shave the PCB to get a better fit. |
Jennell Danio 14.08.2012 | Will definitely be doing this to the decks that I bought this summer. Gonna start a huge overhaul (RCAs, internal grounding, tonearm and pitch calib) and hopefully find time to get the dicers in there and get it painted. This thread will keep me grounded (no pun intended) throughout the whole process knowing someone else was man enough to get this to work. Great job djlotus! |
Ada Matzkin 09.06.2012 | im amazingly jealous of this idea/creation |
Ira Alsadi 09.06.2012 | A quick pick of them in the fold with the X1. |
Ira Alsadi 09.06.2012 | Very easy. |
Dione Haimes 09.06.2012 | How easy was it to take apart the dicers? im believeing of taking mine apart to paint em white |
Ira Alsadi 09.06.2012 | I have not played on them yet. LOL I don't play gigs anymore so these will never leave the house. On the occasion that I play at a small party or with my buddies, I will bring my X1 if there are no other options, and the keyboard mapping is intuitive enough. |
Mirta Heidenrich 09.06.2012 | Great! I like that paint job. Playing on your Technics Dicer is fun? What about gigs? Will you take your own turntables with you? |

Also curious if the original 45 adapter is still in there to help seal up the hole. Got me believeing of buys some beat up ass decks from craigslist and giving this a try. |
Dione Haimes 08.06.2012 | fap fap fap fap fap.. |

Ira Alsadi 08.06.2012 | Thanks! I am extremely proud of this one. Took all my patience to get it done right. I only wish the dicers had different colors. I would love to match the blue. |
Tanner Adis 08.06.2012 | Amazing bro, the best and smartest custom job I've seen!! |
Brunilda Kora 08.06.2012 | Those tone arms are sick. How did you mask them up for painting, and could they be masked up in the same way for powder coating? I love how the M44-7 looks with the blue target light shining on it!!! |
Werner Bile 08.06.2012 | wow. Great job. |
Francie Gindin 08.06.2012 | Well done! |
Ira Alsadi 07.06.2012 | Go figure I left my DSLR in my fiancee's car so iphone pics will have to do for now. IMG_0967.JPG IMG_0968.JPG IMG_0969.JPG IMG_0970.JPG IMG_0971.JPG IMG_0972.JPG IMG_0973.JPG IMG_0974.JPG IMG_0975.JPG IMG_0976.JPG |
Ira Alsadi 08.06.2012 | WOOT! Just picked these up from the painter finally!! Will start the rebuild when I get home. |
Tanner Adis 02.06.2012 | Dying to see these finished SICCCK!!! |
Diann Wolfenden 01.06.2012 | awesome job djlotus.... looks challenging, I want in! but still on the fence, I know I could knock it out.. I cant wait for finish product!!! |
Ira Alsadi 25.05.2012 | My painter actually uses some chemicals, which are becoming the norm in automotive painting, which makes the paint sort of "self etching." Prep doesn't require any sanding on my part except to get any metal work smooth. |

Ira Alsadi 22.05.2012 | Doesn't need any thing more than a very light sanding with fine grit sand paper. |
Brunilda Kora 23.05.2012 | Nice. I see he painted the Tone Arm surround too. How was that prepped for painting? It's plastic, right? |
Ira Alsadi 22.05.2012 | Just got these pics from the my painter. Gloss white with blue pearl. They look different in every picture. I can't wait to pick them up and put them back together. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337700265.755189.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337700339.623181.jpg |
Brunilda Kora 18.05.2012 | Anyone? |
Brunilda Kora 16.05.2012 | Anyone got any advice on stripping, cleaning and rebuilding technics tonearms? I've got two that are filthy and want to give 'em a good clean - but I'm not too keen on taking 'em apart without some idea of how to rebuild and calibrate 'em properly... |

Margie Pavell 14.05.2012 | sorry to see the caps get bounced |
