hmmm... I was believeing more of channeling all the cables inside the tabletop. But if you do end up doing the top thing make sure to get a cable management finishing ring that they use for office desks. You can probably find those at your local cabinetry hardware store. might even have some nice nickel finished ones.

Just get em first so you know what size hole to drill.

Exactly what im planning on doing, i have to hollow out some of the tulip wood tho and cut a hole in the table top

If those legs are staying hollow why not pass some cables through them?

Here is one of the finished legs

And this is the top. clamped and waiting for the glue to dry, and my bike.

what you said is basically the way im making it, you will see when i upload the next pics

Where did you get that piece for the curve?

For strength couldn't you make a third piece similar to the legs but place that on its side across the top? That way you have your top ready made to sink in your gear and its just that little bit mor sturdy.

**reading that back, its difficult to put what i mean in to words. sorry**

Looks cool man, excited to see finished product.

That's pretty cool! I would throw some supports along the length though. The weight of everything may sag the middle. Nothing major though, a strip of that thick mdf on each side would probably be enough.

Ok i will have a look see if i can find it. here is the initial drawing i made when i thought up doing this.

Look around here, I believe one of the other members has made the exact same thing, and documented the process. Sick idea though, I love the flush mount

Thanks for the offer but i have started to build this already, here is one of the legs using 1"mdf and using biscuits/glue to join it all together.

then i laminated a block of four bits of mdf to give me a thickness for a 6" leg. glued and clamped.

Something like that really wouldnt be too hard to make... I recommend building the structure out of mdf then getting sticky back veneer, if you need i could mock up a plan on sketchup of how I would make it up once you provide dimensions.

Yeah what if you made one big hollow cavity in the table, and solid inserts so that if you change anything you only have to change the inserts. You never know what you're going to change later. Also maybe mount a stand for your laptop if you're using dvs.
Just some thoughts.

yea I dont believe itll be a good idea bc if you ever change mixers then that part of the table is useless lol

I no. But my setup is pretty solid and simple. 2 x technics 1210 mk2, xone 22 and torq and I'm not planning on changing it anytime soon.
I'm gonna make it using 1" mdf and to make the curve out of a solid piece of poplar. Pictures coming tomorow
