Pioneer DJM-T1 Traktor Scratch Mixer Price Drop

Seems that the NI Traktor Z2 has put some pressure on and as a result the price of Pioneer's Traktor Certified scratch mixer, the DJM-T1, has been lowered to compete. Decks.co.uk changed their price to

Yeah man sold it last Friday. Ive been considering a mixer and 2 x1's as a set up for some time and when i saw a deal to buy a T1 for AU$590 it was the final push i needed. This seemed perfect as well because it means i still get some transport control whilst i hold off buying x1's until i get to see the new Behringer gear in the flesh. Felt quite sad to see the S4 go though. That thing has travelled EVERYWHERE with me!!

Ouch I was considering selling mine but with this price it really hurt the resale value

The dedicated filters on the z2 may be enough to push me over the edge though, don't know how easy it is to map the djm t1 to parameters outside the factor mapping.

And ive never used the filter effect in traktor so im not sure if its band pass, but if it is you could do the macro effects on the top two knobs and still have a channel filter, just couldn't use them simultaneously.

nvm...im an idiot, you could just map the knob to a filter per channel.

Although if you factor in a 15% guitar center discount to the z2 it comes out around 620.

I bet they just have a massive inventory for this product that they realize they need to offload. I feel pretty bad for the djm t1 owners that purchased at release, pretty shady move on pioneers part.

Especially knowing that they are still making profit after cutting the price in half.
Pioneer has done this for years. I remember a whole bunch of people picking up the DJM707 for $200 once pioneer realised that people just didn't want to buy a basic pioneer scratch mixer for $700. The 707 was a really underrated mixer and a fucking steal at $200.

With such a price drop...it seems to be a viable alternative to the Z2...I've only really heard positive things from T1 owners regarding its quality...so maybe it's worthwhile for those that are in the market...i'm not in the market for a new mixer....definitely not.....

Nah, you're good starting this one.

I was honestly believeing the same thing. Even if you do an upgrade to T(S)P2 it would still be a nice price.
(And to be honest, you'd be well enough off with the Duo variant if you're keeping it old school. )
