Pioneer DJM-T1 Traktor Scratch Mixer Price Drop
Posted on: 15.10.2012 by Kiyoko Wellisch
Seems that the NI Traktor Z2 has put some pressure on and as a result the price of Pioneer's Traktor Certified scratch mixer, the DJM-T1, has been lowered to compete. Decks.co.uk changed their price to

This is what I'm talking about. I would use channels 9/10 on an Audio 10 which means I'll have all 4 channels free......

Not quite.

You're already giving up your 4th deck in Traktor to support the FX loop while using your Audio8 DJ soundcard (I know, because I use an Audio8 with a 3 channel mixer for this function).

Why wouldnt the 5th channel work? The extra pair of I/O on the A10 is specifically for an S/R loop or recording/loop recorder functionality.

Although why you would route it like that makes no sense to me when you have 4 channels with 4 assigns anyway.

There's an FX return listed here in the audio preferences -> http://digitaldjtools.net/wp-content/uploads/prefs1.png

Look like they might have implemented it! I'm clearly out of touch with traktor these days

Maybe were talking about the same thing but using different terms, lol! Read this thread cause this is how I use it now. http://community .djranking s.com/showthr...266#post552266
But if I had an Audio 10 I wouldn't have to sacrifice a deck and 3&4 wouldn't have to share a channel.
Kiyoko Wellisch
29.11.2012
No, again. The Traktor software has no FX loop within it, right? You can route the mixer's FX send and return into an in/out on the soundcard but then there's no FX loop in the audio preferences to select. Isn't that the case?
Xenia Gorin
29.11.2012
No because my mixer has fx send/return ins and outs. So I only loose a channel on the soundcard cause I can route decks 3/4 on the same channel.
Kiyoko Wellisch
30.11.2012
No I mean the software itself. It doesn't have an FX loop function, you'd have to use one of the decks as a live input.
Xenia Gorin
29.11.2012

Ah I see. By the way, are you sure Traktor supports FX loops? I don't believe it does.
Xenia Gorin
29.11.2012
I wouldmy have enough channels for 4 decks plus the send/return for post fader effects with my Ecler. Plus I'm using timecodes and Traktor doesn't let me use multiple soundcards. So with the Zomo I'd just use that as a controller and basically a backup soundcard if something happened to the 10.

where is selling the T1 cheap these days? Any hot tips?
Kiyoko Wellisch
29.11.2012
You don't need the Audio 10 if you buy the Zomo MC 1000. It has an 8 channel audio interface built in.
Xenia Gorin
29.11.2012
Good call........Hmm, I believe the Zomo with an Audio 10 is the way I'm gonna go.......
Kiyoko Wellisch
29.11.2012
That does mean mixing in internal mode though. You'd have to use the software mixer and shitty traktor VU meters :/
Xenia Gorin
28.11.2012
That just sold me right there!! Was debating if I should combine a Zomo MC 1000 with my Ecler NUO 4 and ditch the Audio 8 for an Audio 10 so I could still have post fader effects on all 4 channels........

Is their a link to what's all in the update??

EDIT, found the video........

Working on a mixer still connected to the mains power is really stupid ! You really should turn it off first, and ground it properly before opening it up. You risk two things, electrocution and damaging the internals.

Dedicated filters is something I really miss.
Kiyoko Wellisch
17.10.2012
Well you could remap one effect knob to it and then map the other knobs to macro effects. That would be my plan. Oh, and make one of them the filter

I was more referring to volume control, but I've never even touched a T1 so anything I say is probably wrong anyway. I'm still ordering a Z2, but at the price...

No C/D control, loop displays or USB hub. Not sure about how mapping works with the T1 though so the C/D control may be fixable easily enough.
