I'm not surprised. Was this a newsletter email or a personal email after you asked the question?

I'm up for buying one. My DJ gear is in the middle of our living room (my GF is very kind). To keep it that way, It all is very neat and tidy. I'm leaning towards a white one, buy the overphotoshopped renders posted online leave me guessing how it looks in real life. If anybody has a white one, can you post some pics?

Neither am I. All we have left to do is wait till late september/early oct for it, unless some of the NI boys want to add a new pair of testers

Would be cool if the 1.8 update changed the screen to inverted on the MK1 models

No in this one I see Maschine open. The above poster has assumed he's using multiple instances of Maschine by running one as a VST in Ableton.

Is it gonna be HID-remix deck? That knob looks so F1

You could use one as a MIDI in but that will only play a single selected sound as different notes. That's not what's going on here and I only see one computer.
He uses multiple instances of Maschine. One can see Ableton open on his computer as a host. (He doesn't do this in Reason, of course...)

You make it sound like some sort of secret - he was sponsored by Propellerheads. It's right on his website.

Got Maschine for a crazy cheap price about 3 weeks ago and still don't have my head around it all yet (just got into producing for fun) so not bummed about the new one being released. Hopefully the old one still gets the vital parts of the new updates. If only mark II can be used with remix decks in the future ill be a bit sad =( lol

And this is giving me a good feeling about Remix Deck support for Maschine. I won't hold my breath though.

I dunno, they wouldn't have re-write all of the scripting for the "NHL" protocol messages Maschine is sending "out" to the software, they would only have to add the RGB "in" message. The single knob switch kind of spooks me though because that could be used as the encoder on the F1 is. I've reserved two banks of pads on both of my controllers for Remix Deck controls. I'm planning on using the Mute-Duplicate buttons to switch between the "pages" of samples.

Know this is slightly off topic but you guys would be in the know: I've found a 2nd hand Maschine Mk1, for some reason it says it comes with the Maschine Miikro software - I'm guessing there's no difference in software / integration?

Just checking, thanks

will it control the new remix decks in traktor? I've wanted to get into Digital DJing, and I already own the maschine. I don't really care to spring for the F1 though

I believe NI should give the option to buy just the controller. Seems unfair after supporting maschine since the beginning to have to pay full price for software I already own

Good luck with that.

This! Apparently it's of the click type they use in all their hardware. I'm not planning on selling mine and upgrading at all but it seemed like a quite odd move from NI.

Looking at the bright side, they might push HID for the mkii to control the remix decks in Traktor now that it has RGB pads.

Now that i've seen the video, its pretty and all but i don't see much of a diffrence really except the big browser knob and since all maschine users get 1.8 and massive its just kinda for pretty colors.

What are the chances that NI will sell a hardware upgrade? Slim to none you guys believe? I would definitely throw in some extra cash for the upgrade then sell the old model for 200 or whatever.

why?!

yeah, how is a serious price break a stab in the back?

I was waiting for the MK2 to make a choice. My gearlust is telling me to get a MK2, but then again, is the old controller with 1.8 that much different to justify €200 extra....
