Horror DJ pictures/videos ! Posted on: 15.11.2011 by Makkins Clifton Warning: This thread is only for DJs with steady nerves and propensity for self-flagellationPost pictures (and eventually videos if you're out of ideas*) of situations every DJ is afraid of or which just hurt when watching them. I start: This photo was taken at the Future music Festival in Melbourne Australia * Save the others time and don't post videos of CDJs failing on Tiesto. Everyone has seen them (and mischievously grinned) by now. | |

A class apart from most of the techno/tech house producers. Too bad he sometimes plays that generic tech house that Richie Hawtin's playing too for quite some time. If you hear all the tracks that Hawtin produced... Goosebumps |

So he poured jager bomb into a bottle and chucked it in my bag. Arrived at the club, took my bag out the car and noticed the bottom was damp! The bottle had leaked all over my MacBook Pro, interface, charger and cables! Luckily I don't have a controller at the moment or it would have been destroyed. My charger still smells of jager occasionally. The laptop has had beer thrown on it now as well so its got a mixture. Luckily it was all fine after I wiped it all down with a damp piece of toilet paper! First gig trauma - definitely... |

Hank Guidas 22.03.2013 | Just bought one of his latest vinyls, "happy and dependent 4". Was a random buy at a vinyl store. His tunes are a bit boring. 12 minutes with minimal. Look up "Two boys Set Off". He's always super wasted or on something, but he's a legend nontheless |

Debera Renkes 19.03.2013 | This actually happened to me: I was DJing a frat party at my school and I'm usually just set up behind the bar. This guy and his idiot friends decided to shot gun a beer a a couple feet infront of the bar. I didn't notice it until he sprayed it all over my laptop cause he stabbed it in the wrong place while holding it wrong when the beer was shaken up. Luckily my laptop was still in working order and I was able to finish the party. That stale smell of beer on my gear though the evening after a gig .... so nasty. |
Makkins Clifton 19.03.2013 | ...and it goes on: |

Viviana Tarno 07.02.2012 | Last year, we were DJing at my student association during the annual introduction days for new firstyear students. Due to the huge amount of people inside our basement during a mid summer day, it was so hot that our computer running Traktor overheated while playing. One started playing CDs on an antique Denon dn d4000 with more broken than working buttons, while the other grabbed the computer, ran upstairs and stuffed it in the refridgerator, just to cool it down ASAP Last time I played in that same basement with my own NS7, it was so damn hot that moisture drops were hanging on the ceiling. One of them managed to drop on the strip search of the at that time playing deck, which immediately started jumping around the track as a madman, making people on the floor to cover their ears and run away. Actually had to send it back for repairs afterwards. Good god |
